As I stood on a stone cist, a bronze Age burial site, on the top of a hill on the wet and windy Welsh coast, the wind was so powerful that I struggled to stand upright. I felt lashed by the winds of the wild sea energy of Manannan mac Lir, a Sea God of the Tuatha de Danaan and guardian of the Underworld. The energy on this sacred site filled the bottle with strength, and the ability to remain standing, even under extreme circumstances. When the waves of despair and anger roll in from the collective unconscious, symbolised by the sea, they will not drown you. Mother Earth will help you stand strong and you will not fall. She will nurture your strength, your ability to survive all the emotions that swirl around you from others, their fear, their anxious anger, their unknowingness. Through the use of this essence you will find your strength, you will assert yourself when necessary and will learn to recognise what you truly need. This is the perfect essence for helping to heal co-dependency issues.

This was created in the centre of a burial cist on Dartmoor, which lay in the centre of concentric rings of standing stones at the same time as the Venus Matrix, the second level of the Gaia Method Earthways, was given to me. A beam of solar light, followed by the energy of the planet Venus entered the bottle, along with a sprightly Solar Elemental. This essence empowers us by filling us with Love, and the knowledge that we create our own reality. It gives us the power, and desire, to change our lives and to move in a more positive direction. It highlights places where we are stuck and allows us bring to light those places. Therefore, it is a good one to use when you are working on healing old issues and you want to move from a heavy place in yourself to a lighter place. It allows you to move through issues around feeling unloved or old angers that you still hold. This is the Love and beauty of the Divine feminine energy of Venus. It is a cosmic essence rather than an earth essence but brings the love and beauty of Venus into your energy field. For people who struggle to receive love, this essence brings a note of Venus into their lives. It is a drop of Love bringing an appreciation of the Divine Feminine’s creations, and touching parts of ourselves that are stuck in unloving behaviour, both to ourselves and to others. To love others, we must first love ourselves. If you have had a difficult childhood and have not known love, this essence drops love gently into your world, healing anything that is not Love. This was created in Medb’s fort on the Hill of Tara in Ireland. This fort is aligned with the oldest site on Tara and is associated with Queen Medb, a Celtic sovereignty Goddess. She was wife/lover of nine successive kings of Tara. To rule, the king must be wedded to Sovereignty, to the Land, and Tara is where this wedding occured. St. Brigit was a later sovereignty Goddess of Ireland and the white calf is the symbol of her fertility, a feeder of the people, an abundance goddess. These energies are what make this essence. It heals all aspects of your power as a Divine feminine representative. Through relationships, you heal co-dependency, seeing it as an initiation into becoming powerful. It reaches deep into your soul and pulls out the threads of Becoming which you use to weave a new you. Through the joy and pain of relationship, you grow into your true sovereignty and you become the Queen you were meant to be thereby aiding all of humanity to become free of all old strictures and partriarchal rules. It is an essence for women who seek freedom in gentle power.

This was an interesting essence. While doing an archeological survey, I discovered the site we were working on was not only an Iron Age farmstead, but also a sacred site, with two vortices (or chakras), at the bottom of its long avenue. One of those vortices was a winter vortex, active only during the winter months. The other vortex was a Spring vortex. At the Winter vortex I was gifted the Elixir of Cerridwen. She told us that it would “Heal the empty spaces of the heart.” The Winter vortex was also the place where they carried out the death rituals. But there was a joy here too. A knowing that the person who had died was rejoining the Earth Mother, returning to her womb to be born again at a later date, in a new body. Although grief is a normal reaction to losing a loved one, the essence allows us to process it and move through it. Feeling it and releasing it when we are ready. It also helps us to manage other forms of grief: the loss of a relationship, a pet, a job. It is a very supportive and nurturing essence. It also allows us to access unresolved grief from the past by energetically bringing that grief into the present and allowing it to release gently.

Made at Seljalandsfoss waterfall in Iceland. It was freezing and bleak but the waterfall created dozens of rainbows as the sun shone through the water vapour. And this was the message of the essence. Even when times are bleak. It seems as though everything has stalled, and your emotions feel overwhelming, there is always a rainbow to carry you over the difficulty. This is a soothing, supportive energy and helps you to know that ‘this too shall pass’, but that you will be helped to move beyond it. There is treasure behind the waterfall, a hidden gift behind the pain. This will help you find it.
