The White Dragon as Protector Energy.

Recently, I was watching a Youtube video about Vikings with my father and the video spoke about Saxon burhs. A burh was a fortified town created by Alfred the Great to protect people against Viking raids in the late 800’s. What struck me immediately was the name: Burh (Alfred’s wife’s name was Osburh. It made me wonder…). Many of these fortified villages were built on existing Iron Age Hillforts, or towns. Both of those things reminded me of Burley Hill, in the New Forest, where we had first encountered the protective aspect of the white dragon.

“The site is within the parish of Burley, whose name may be derived from the Anglo-Saxon bury which means a ‘fortified place” (from Wikipedia). There is also a story: Another folklore legend of Burley is that Burley Beacon, just outside the village which is the supposed location of a dragon’s lair. Several versions of the tale can be told locally about how the dragon’s corpse turned into the hill in Lyndhurst, known as Bolton’s Bench.  According to legend, Castle Hill apparently was once the home to a dragon, duly slain by a knight from the nearby village.”

Well, that adds to the information we had previously received. But it made me think about the white dragon energy we had encountered there, and its protective function. If the hillfort had served as a sanctuary, which is what a Burh was, providing sanctuary from viking attack, then the white dragon represents that protective energy.

It was very clear that Burley was a sanctuary, but it felt like that sense of safety went back further than Saxon times. I imagine too that the white dragon, in it’s protective role here in this hillfort, is here because it was originally a sacred site. It played an important role in the area, and the original guardians of the Iron Age hillfort were people of a spiritual nature. Perhaps spiritual warriors.

In recent readings, I have found that protective energy appear too. This aspect of the white dragon acts as protector of the creative white dragon energies. These creative white dragons are often connected to the sea, which represents the human emotional body and the womb of creation. But they also come in from a living person’s higher auric bodies to inspire with energetic creations. These creations are usually ideas and inspiration which benefit humanity. So, it would appear that these white protector dragons are both energetic, and within people. Dragons are not seperate from you, but form very much a part of a creative force within you, which, if you hold that energy, works through you.

There are different levels to these white dragons and how they work through people. Some people can be working through that energy without realising it. But their higher spiritual nature is very much aware. Working conciously with them, the more spiritually developed you are, as a channel for energies, the more the dragon seems to work through you. They ease you into the process, watching to see how you will use the energies they inspire you with. Like every energy, they start small, building your dragon body, which is really the ability to hold that energy in your auric field, and the thoughtforms that accompany them.

Being able to control your own energy means you can eventually hold that energy responsibly. When you are at a point of readiness, to develop whatever dragon energy you are supposed to develop, your dragon mentor/teacher will appear, either energetically or physically. White Dragon masters are masters of their craft. At a certain stage too, you can become a dragon-protector. This means you become a mentor or protector of younger dragon energies and/or dragon sites. It means that your place/home can become a place of sanctuary, and healing, and that your energetic skills can be used to help others to grow.

Guides or mentors can also appear to the inner eye, in meditation or healing, as white dragons carrying a certain crystalline frequency. This is indicated by a crystal at their third eye, which is the colour of the energy they come through with. They inspire you with their teaching or guidance. The colour of the crystal tells you what their work is. For instance, a rose quartz in the dragons’s third eye indicates an emotional healer, a person who helps heal the emotions and the heart. Their appearance, as a dragon, gives you the information as a symbolic energy of the person who holds those qualities. But, equally, as a spiritual guide, they also show you the way towards healing, encouraging and supporting your journey towards wholeness.

In China, there have always been dragon masters, people who have the ability to control the dragon forces and chi (energy) in their bodies. In Daoism, dragons are deified forces of nature. In our work that is also what they are, but we embody those abilities to work with them. The dragon masters work with the energies of nature and the elements, and as you too develop, you develop the ability to work with the elements through your auric field.

The white dragon protectors have learned to use their energy, and their ability to channel these energies, for the good of all. They are servers and able to move the energy within their auric field, and in the world of energy around them. Their inner self knows how to use movement and intent to create change. The protective dragon might only have an idea he is a white dragon protector, unless he has specifically chosen that role, but he wields protective energy nonetheless.

This is the path of the white dragon. To serve and protect … in a real sense.

(So far, I have found the protective aspect to be masculine. I know that sounds stereotypical, but that appears to be the way. That’s not to say it has to be male, the masculine energy can be held by men or women).

  1. There is another aspect of this in that the shade white is just that. White can only come into form when every colour of the spectrum is reflected. It is an intense recognition of all that is and all that is potential. Just as black is a shade that comes into form when every colour of the spectrum is absorbed. Again recognition of all that is and all that is potential.

I find it fascinating you reference also the concept of ‘rainbow body’…maybe not directly but Taoist and Buddhist interconnect (everything connects…energy just is) – Comparing the two philosophies you see similarities and differences. Taoism is “the way” leading one to fulfill their immortality by becoming one with the Tao or universe by living in balance. Buddhism is a philosophy where one strives to achieve enlightenment or nirvana through its teachings. They are two sides of the same coin.

All is energy and ability to draw understanding from that ‘coded sequence’. So when you are coded within the spectrum, vibrating through infinite, it is a case of where your energy is choosing to ‘tune in’. Like the ocean you can exist near the waters surface (near what floats / air) or in the depths (near what is dense / earth / ground). A sense of the shades but like Taoist and Buddhist perspectives…same but different.

As always – nothing gets lost. It just needs remembering. The sense of a mound or location being a focal point is simply part of the journey. Coded within the spectrum to assist in actually seeing the shades. It isn’t a case of physical travel to that physical location but more acknowledgment of that ‘marker’ within what is infinite.

Thanks for sharing, helped in understanding more of what is within ….and beyond. Yin and Yang that is both obvious and not so obvious.

  2. Another point to be acknowledged of dragon ability to breathe fire. What does fire represent? Passion and transformation…ability to inhale air / thought and be taken to a potential you may not have first acknowledged. A sense of moving through what is available to you…both destructive and nurturing.

  3. The masculine aspect relates to it being a sense of practical action. White is the shade of reflection not absorption. It is an energy which is shield like…it is like a mirror that enables all the other spectrum to recognise what they are showing. It can conceal with camouflage or illuminate but is based in action. It is about showing or displaying.
Black on the other hand is the shade of absorbing. It is what is hidden and nurtured aspect, the unseen that gives the sense of connection within. The divine feminine, the less obvious because it is not actively displayed. It is what the mirror doesn’t show to you.
It is masculine because it is like the shell of the egg…it is what is illuminated. You do not know what is inside the egg but you recognise it as that…an egg.

Like in astrology your Sun sign is how others are seeing you. A masculine sense of action…what you are allowing to be seen. Your Moon sign is who you think you are, what you know of yourself, a feminine sense of nurture that has phases. Phases of what you hide and what you allow to be known. And the ascendant / rising sign is the trigger that initiates the pathway. It has been explained as being the gift, Sun is masculine, the package. Moon is feminine, what the package contains and ascendant / rising is what drives the contents. Like a box that contains a watch. The box is what is seen, the box reveals a watch (what was hidden) and the mechanism makes it function.

The White Dragon could be any gender, but I too sense the divine masculine as a significant aspect of what inspires the energy. All is coded and the messages within those codes are being remembered. Wisdom returned. White illuminates – provides physical clarity. What is being shown.

    • “The White Dragon could be any gender.” You are absolutely right. In my experience, the white dragon as a ‘gender’ relates to its purpose and how it is using its energy … remembering too that Dragons represent a specific frequency of earth’s creative potential.
When I see a person as a white dragon, it is often because they are holding that frequency as part of their purpose. The more protective energy is seen as masculine but that does not mean male. It just means they are working with the protective earth energy as part of their purpose. The feminine aspects of the white dragon seem to be the creatives, those who birth new creations into the world. And equally they work through both male and female. But creation can take many forms.
I can only speak of my own experience with these dragon-energies and how I read them in people and the landscape. I have to feel them in my body to know them and to see how they work through our energies. There seem to be ways these white dragon-energies operate creatively, so it is very interesting to witness this unfolding. Each dragon energy relays information about itself, and its purpose in our lives, so it is exciting to see how we humans work with these energies.

Hope all is well in your world. 🙂

      • I sense dragon energy in the environment and in ‘energy beings / people’. Landscape could be ocean horizon, mountain ridge line, within a building or cave or in the sky. Anywhere and anyone…potentially.
I sense colours and frequency within that, I also feel that. Hard to explain but there is a sense of void, nothingness and then the core of where an energy appears from. Like an essence.
I also am just sharing what I am aware of. Divine feminine and masculine are simply a sense of tone within the frequency.
My work (or purpose) is bringing about balance in water. In any water form – Yin / Yang sense and almost a sense of singing those tones into the remembering. I will write an email – it interweaves – heal the land and you heal the people is an indigenous sense. Many indigenous people in modern day still carry this wisdom but many cultures / societies it is buried deeper but does not make it any less valid.
What I shared is intended to confirm and add additional layers of understanding as the sense of shades (black / white) when sensed in landscape or people is a level of ‘toning’ every colour of the spectrum into balance. Bringing every colour tone into balance and therefore forming a shield. White widely accepted as protective because in its core function it reflects. White simply is a shade that reflects every frequency of colour…a sense of extreme balance that is not allowing any individual colour to be displayed.

Also needs added this goes beyond the creative energy of Gaia. Dragon energy is galactic, it represents core value within the universe. Within energetic creation. I could explain more but there is no need. What is, simply is. Like angelic tone there are other tones within energy…wavelength and bandwidth. There is ability to sense and tune in. There is no separation. Even a sense of consciousness and awareness reaches further than many would first acknowledge.

In the sense of infinity, single answers are nonexistent. There just is.

When truth is spoken others can then acknowledge what they know as true. Truth is infinite, we enable sharing, ability to read stuff online so those who need to find that validation or sense of resonance are able to do so. And add their perspective because all perspective hold purpose oddly enough 🙃We each vibrate in perpetual beauty and joy. Even we bouncing in different directions there is purpose.

  4. Last comment – mounds and standing stones reveal themselves from the fog and mists. In the sense of being protective they are on show. More easily identified for what they are.

For many fog and mists invoke a sense of fear…what is hidden. What you cannot see. There was dread around being engulfed into the mist or fog when in truth if you cannot see a way forward then you are also concealed. If you become stuck in the fog then the fog is also hiding you. You fear the unseen while actually being yourself, unseen. Something easily overlooked is the sense mist and fog protects.

As you know I live in New Zealand so not familiar with the locations mentioned but for some reason there is something about landmarks and mists. Like a location that is able to disappear. For some reason this relates to white dragon…murky waters or atmosphere that reflects back. Reveals but in a cryptic sense.

  5. early this year a had a baby boy through a c-section. It was a very difficult delivery because I lost lot of blood and I end up being unconscious, for that brief moment I saw myself flying then a white dragon emerged from my body asking me what do I want and I told it I want my family. The dragon continues to fly then I was woken up by the doctors. It’s beens months since I had my baby but I still remember the dream like it happened yesterday.

please help with the meaning of this or more enlightenment on how to connect with the white dragon spiritually.

    • Hi Fikile, what a wonderful experience. Often we embody certain dragon frequencies and it seems like your inner self is a white dragon energy. Have you ever gone into meditation and communicated with it? It is part of you so you can connect with it. 🙂
