When my guides first began to teach me the Gaia Method Earthways, they often mentioned ‘The Cloak of Many Colours’. My only reference for this was the story of Joseph in the Bible. Jacob, his father, gave Joseph a coat of many colours which made his brothers jealous and they threw him down a pit, telling Jacob his favoured son had died. When my guides told me about the ‘coat’, I thought it was a message about energy and that Jacob (who was also called Israel, a name ‘God’ gave him) was a man who did sacred work and who was teaching Joseph those same skills.

I still believe that. However, that is not what they meant. Although that particular story has been a personal template in my own life, the Coat of many Colours meant something completely different. It took me years to understand it.

It was only after I had received some cloak energies, such as the Mantle of Brigit and the Madonna Mantle, that I realised that the more cloak energies one received the more The Coat of Many Colours was built. Each cloak holds it own frequency in the auric field,allowing you access to their particular energies. Each cloak has a different use. The cloak you receive in the Sidhe attunement, or the Star Brother attunement, gives you access to the dimensions of the Sidhe, or to the Planetary Beings who help us here on earth. Therefore the cloaks act as gateways and channels.

When I am about to do healing, or a reading, I usually open my energies to the information. If I am doing a Sidhe healing/attunement, I open my cloak and step physically into their realm. This is a simple action. I tune in and then with my hands at my heart, as if I was about to open a physical cloak, I gently bring my hands out, opening my energetic cloak and therefore that level of my auric field. This gives me access to the energies of that dimension, or to that channel. It is a purely intuitive action in that sometimes I intentionally open the cloak, but at other times I am impulsed to open one, but I don’t actually know why, or which one. So I keep an eye on what I do for a while afterwards and its usually an action I take, or understanding something about my self or my behaviour, relationships, etc. Each time you open a cloak, you are opening to a frequency or energy in your auric field.

As I said, each cloak has a different energy and opens you to its information.

With the Star Brother’s cloak, you are opening a channel to the energies you have been attuned to, such as the Pleiadians, the Arcturians, the Sirians, the Lyrans, or any other consciousness currently assisting earth’s evolution. Needless to say, it’s not the first time they have done this. These star brothers have been around for a long time, involved in their own evolution. When they anchor the cloak around you, they are giving you the ability to be a channel for them but it also provides protection, keeping that light within your field.

The Madonna mantle/cloak is much more specific. It bridges the Soul and the personality. When the Soul knows it is about to undergo a challenging time, a period of Soul growth, the Madonna Mantle is activated. This softens the impact on the personality. It is a reassuring energy, because you know that when it activates, your guides ‘have your back’. What you are going through is an important part of your soul growth, where you might be letting go of old beliefs and a way of life. This cloak has nothing to do with religion, it is simply a symbol of the Divine Mother’s love being anchored in the auric field and giving the soul, and personality, the love, support and encouragement, to go through a significant process.

The Brigit Cloak is a green cloak that represents the fertility of the land. In wearing this cloak you are claiming land for the Goddess, for the Divine Feminine. It is ‘reclaiming’ it, so it becomes part of the Goddess’s realm once more. It is also your work space. Your land. In that it becomes the place you work with, energetically. This could be miles of land, but each place will bear your energetic stamp and the land itself will recognise what you do, and the layer of energy you anchor there.

There is also the Cloak of Sovereignty which is received at the first Gaia Method Earthways attunement. This cloak is particular to you, your expression of the connection with the Goddess of the land, Sovereignty. Through that cloak you become your sovereign self, knowing who you are in the world, and how your gifts represent the Divine Feminine on earth. This does not happen overnight, it is a long process of development.

During other attunements, you might be gifted a cloak of bark from a tree energy, or an animal skin from a particular animal, conferring on you both the protective energies of that animal, or tree, plus its gifts. It could equally be a feather cloak, from a particular type of bird, just as the shamans of old would have worn.

There are also mantles of energy which anchor an ascended master’s energy in the auric field, again so that you resonate with that master and have a direct connection to them.

The cloaks are not symbol energies, but are layers of energy placed within the auric field, and through which the associated energies are accessed. If you have been given a cloak, or two, or you have been attuned to a number of cloak energies, try opening them, as described above and sitting in the energy. See what comes in when you do that, and how it affects your thinking or feeling.

Each attunement takes approx one hour and is recorded so that when you listen to the recording the energies are anchored into your auric field.

There are other cloaks which I have only recently received, the Cloak of Anubis and the Swan Cloak. Once they feel ready for release, I will add them here. The Cloak of Anubis is about receiving the ability to go through ego-deaths with courage. It is initiatic and also service-oriented. The swan cloak is a healing energy for both personal and collective healing and connected to the three swan symbols of healing which I am currently working on and which again, I received in Ireland in a castle connected to the Knight’s Templar.

Sometimes too, cloaks represent moving into a new stage of development. Chris recently received a Crusader’s cloak as a first level Initiate. As he moves through his development, and he will only know that because his guides will tell him, he will receive another cloak of another colour. This process is about opening to the Divine Feminine qualities which, for a man serving the Divine Feminine, need to be experienced and awoken. It is like the stages of awakening to his true power and purpose.

I am interested to see what happens with that.

When you receive an attunement into the Gaia Method Earthways, or even if having a reading, if your guides feel you need a cloak they will add it to the session. Cloaks can also be given multiple times, which upgrades them, so if you have already received one and you find yourself receiving the same one again, it is because you need the extra voltage to do a particular job. Much like getting regular Reiju in Reiki, the frequency of the cloak is increased each time.
