I introduced Chris to the Southern Magnolia which Nadia and I had visited the previous week. He brought his dowsing rods with him, for the first time in ages. We did the energywork first before he did the dowsing and also made an essence, invited to do so by the tree.
When we got tot h tree, Chris was picking up that there was a link, somehow, between the tree and the eastern end of the Cathedral. That link became clear later. He also picked up on the clergyman who had guided me and Nadia to the place we needed to work when we anchored the masculine energy in the green. So he seems to be very present here and connected to an important book.
I was feeling energy coming up my legs and moving into my sacral centre. From there, it flowed out into the energy around me. A bit like a tree bringing energy up through the roots and expressing it creatively through its leaves. Moving energy creatively, as this tree does.

I then received the message: Let destiny unfold. This was very much to do with the energy of this tree and how it simply allows life to unfold. It doesn’t push to make things happen, but flows instead. It allows its energy to flow gently. Letting things flow through it, like the rain, the wind. Accepting, trusting and allowing. There are no blockages, no restrictions. There was also a sense of sharing, there is no need to worry about lack of energy. It is limitless.
From the leaves, through a gentle breeze, energy flowed in through my upper fields and flowed down through my heart and into my sacral centre. It flowed, in the same way as the energy from the roots had, out through my sacral and into the world. The energy comes in from the earth, through the roots, and down from the branches, simultaneously, but emerging creatively through our creative centre.
At this point, I was told to do an energy connection with the tree. Chris was told to make the initial connection by physically touching the tree trunk and connecting his heart to the heart of the tree. Next, he was to visualise the yellow line moving up to the sun and the black line moving down to the Obsidian dragon at the centre of the earth. We were then joined in a Triangle, just as Nadia and I had experienced when we first made the connection to this tree.
Chris began to sway towards the tree trunk, feeling the serpentine earth energy as it moved into his body. (When doing healing with the Gaia Method the body responds to the earth energy by moving, like a hypnotised cobra). But Chris felt the tree was pushing him back when he swayed too close to it. ‘Stand on your own two feet’, it seemed to be saying, ‘Don’t lean on me. Trust in your own ability to hold this energy.’
Next, I anchored the white cone in Chris’s body. Followed by the black one. The white cone came from above, a vortex of spiralling energy. The black cone came up from the earth, a spiralling black vortex. They met in the solar plexus. The white spun clockwise. The black spun anticlockwise.
We then had to thank everything we had, being in a state of gratitude. Grateful to all the Elemental Beings who help us, and the Earth beings who help us. To all our guides, people, everything. Just holding that sense of trusted flow and gratitude.
The black dragon then moved into the black vortex; the white dragon into the white one, meeting in the centre. But this time it was about Will. Moving into the Divine Will of Heaven and Earth. Holding the balance of earth power, via the black dragon, and the divine inspiration from above, through the white. The black dragon is the deep unknown, the potential, holding deep power. We have, as healers, to hold that balance within us. To be able to wield a portion of the earth’s power while being divinely inspired, using both these energies to create a new life, both for ourselves and for the planet. Both these dragon energies work within the same creative earth energies but with very different foci. But they are perfect together.
In the tree, there now appeared a gold key, and it unlocked that point where the two cones/vortices meet. Another line of energy then ascended through the body, and descended at the same time. This was about giving the ability to absorb all the energies, both vertically and horizontally, of tree beingness. How they are all connected to each other, from the smallest shrub to the tallest tree. Working at that level. Where that point meets is where the trees are. Between heaven and earth.
The key then became blue and it opened another energy sending this blue into the outer edge of the cones, like a layering. The black and white are the polarity, the blue brings peace and holds it in balance. Then the key became yellow, opening, again, another frequency. Gold coins were part of this yellow. A pink key then was given by the tree again, to open the meeting point. Bands of light then moved up and down the cones like pulsing bands of energy. A Divine frequency.
The three colours, yellow/gold, blue and pink are the three colours we work with. These colours work with the dragon frequencies, and the flames.
I then was shown a crossbow, but it was dragon energy and the arrow was wooden. This had something to do with being able to send dragon energy to make the connection between one tree and other. It is also about being able to send that energy put as an attunement. The connection would be fast, having that velocity behind it. The trees have always been my teachers, and shared with me many of the Gaia Method energies.
We then made the essence, placing the bottle between the branching trunks. A lovely feminine Being stood behind me as I did this. All the colours that we were given in this attunement was placed in the water, to assist with assimilation of these energies. The lovely Elemental Being put an elemental light in there too. She also dropped in a clear fluid, like sap. But it was also light.
We gave some of the essence back to the tree by dropping some of it on the ground by its trunks.

Chris then took out his dowsing rods and began to dowse across the field where the tree grew. The rods showed that the tree was on a wide energy line that flowed towards the Pilgrim’s Hall (dated to 1308), underground. We followed it, did a couple of short videos and ended up on the other side of the hall, in the street. Chris dowsed here as well only to find that the channel had widened and continued on through the grey building (in the video) and proceeded along under the left side of College Street. We decided it must be one of the underground rivers, part of the river Itchen, which branched into several smaller rivers. Fortuitously, at that point, a bearded man passed us and said ‘It’s the Itchen.’ Turns out he studied archaeology two years after I left Winchester College (now University of Winchester) and had studied Winchester.
So. the roots of our lovely Magnolia lie above the river as it runs beneath this part of the cathedral. This also explained the initial feeling of Chris’s that the tree was connected with the east end of Winchester Cathedral. It is connected – via the water.
The following week, on another Tuesday, and another breakfast in Kneaded, Nadia and I went back to the gorgeous tree, this time with one of my granddaughters. twelve year old Niamh. I was surprised to see the double cones still there, at the base of the tree. As if in receiving the energies they had also anchored there permanently. She stood where the twin cones were and was given the heartwood symbol, while she was standing with her back to the tree. Then the tree suggested Niamh receive it too, so I guided her through that process as well. She was given a little gift on her heartwood symbol, like a present on a Christmas tree. Between the three of us, we had a lovely heart connection triangle going.
Then I focused on Nadia again, and she connected her upper yellow line and her lower black line, as we had done together at the Mother Tree. I walked her through the double cone exercise. And for her the dragons did something different. as they came from their respective cones the dragons entwined around her heartwood tree, spiralling around each other. Like snakes they wound around her tree branches, filling her tree-ness with black and white balanced energy.
Next the blue came in, the water, which moved into the base cone. The white cone then became yellow, energised by the solar light. The blending of the yellow and the blue became green where the cones met, like watercolour paint merging. Often, when doing flame work, the three base colours, pink, blue and yellow, merge to become green. This happens by itself. So for everyone, this is an individual thing.
Niamh didn’t mention anything about the heart wood tree experience, stuck on her phone as she was, until, on the drive home, she asked: ‘So Grandma, when will I get the gift on the tree?’ I told her I had no idea. She’d have to wait. Yep, I thought. Typical twelve-year- old. But she is patient.
