There are certain energies you can work with when connecting energetically with the sea. In my experience, the colder waters of the north are Neptunian, and can be wild and stormy. By contrast, tropical waters tend to be more feminine in nature.
During my time living in Hurghada, I had the opportunity of working with the energies of the Red Sea. I did this from the land, never having learned to dive, but I spent many hours beside the water watching the colourful life beneath the surface. One of the first things I did when we reached Sahl Hashseesh, a newly developed, and ever-growing resort, was to stand in the warm water at the beach connected to our flats. Almost immediately, I felt the healing energies of the Red Sea envelop me and I knew that here, I could begin to heal after the six tumultuous years living in Luxor.
Apart from the wonderful sea life and the amazing ospreys I made the connection to the Goddess of the Bay. For the year we spent here, until we moved into Hurghada proper, she taught me how to work with her fertile and creative energies. I also received energies from her to pass on to others. These energies gave access to the Womb of Creation. Which is how she termed the creative energies of the Red Sea. And it really did feel like a nurturing womb. It was a place to heal and to grow into my creative self.
The energies she gave me came as essences, but also as energetic symbols. These energies are given as tools to help you manage the emotional waters of life whilst still nurturing creativity.
The Stingray: The stingray is a solitary creature, gliding through the emotional/creative waters in search of inspiration. It is curious, trusting, but with a barb on its tail. With this energy in your field it gives you the ability to ‘spread yourelf thin’. Life sometimes happens in ways you ‘d rather it didn’t and when this happens you have to be able to continue your otherwordly adventures while still managing LIFE. There might be tasks to fulfill, arising perhaps from a sense of familial duty. But personal care is still required, your one work still needs to be done. The Stingray helps your energy manage these disparate tasks so that you can continue without becoming burned out.
The Conch Snail: As a symbol, this creature allows the creations of the Sea Mother to be channelled. Creative ideas move through this shell, emerging from the consciousness of the mother as creative/artisit ideas.
