The Sidhe – An Invitation.

The following was channelled in 2015 when I wanted to know who the Sidhe really were. I had been working with them for years, and knew them as a reclusive, faery-like race of beings. Yet, they were generous, and in many of their special places, they gave me gifts to help me, and others, do the necessary energetic work. Yet, at certain times, they tested our commitment as to whether we could conquer our fears enough to meet them in their sacred places. If we see only negative energy where they reside, we are not ready. If we see only a dark history and are afraid of the energy we feel, we are not ready. If we allow the fear of that darkness to turn us away, we are not ready. We must see the darkness for what it is, see through it, recognising it as purely a thoughtform and therefore not really real. When we can do that, we are ready.

The story they tell spans thousands of years, going back to the mesolithic period, at the end of the last Ice Age. Some of it also feels allegorical, but I love that there is hope at the end and the desire to work with us. If we can cross the bridge. I had often wondered, and am still unsure, if they are the Tuatha de Danaan, because they feel connected, and yet they also feel vibrationally different. The Tuatha feel more human; more The Ancestors, who now inhabit a liminal realm; the sidhe feel much more fairy-like, but, as they suggest, they were human once too. Perhaps they inhabit different realms and have been on earth far longer than our Tuatha de Danaan ancestors. But, whoever they are, I’m glad they share their knowledge with us, for the Goddess is the one thing they have in common.

Here is the Sidhe’s story.

“It was on a moonlit night that we first left our shores. None of us knew when we would return, as we faced towards the West, and headed into an unknown future. We knew we could not look homewards, for in so doing, our hearts would surely break. Our destiny lay ahead, on wayward shores. Would the people on those shores welcome us with open arms, or would they repel us with swords and shields.

“We knew not where our destiny would lead us, but we knew, without a doubt, that it would lead us somewhere. Our lives, whilst on that journey, wore long and hard, and there were times when we believed we would never reach the distant land. But we did, eventually.

“When we landed, we were greeted by our fore-runners: those brave souls, who by dint of their upbringing, were the privileged few to come to this new land years before us. We knew not what to expect from them, for they were older souls than we, and knew how to live in this wild place. They greeted us, as though we were family, and welcomed us into their homes. We wined and dined and ate our fill, but soon it became clear, that this was not our home. We were needed elsewhere, somewhere wilder and altogether forgotten.

“Once again, we packed our belongings and set off into the wilderness, hoping to find a place wherein we could settle. Ours was a heavy burden and at times we despaired of ever finding a place to settle in. After years of moving and searching we came to this land, the land of your ancestors.  It was a wild place, full of forests and untamed beasts. No-one had yet settled here and so, in the beginning, we could only inhabit the outer edges, close to the sea.

“The winters were harsh, and the summers short, and food was often in short supply. We learned how to fish and how to hunt in these new surroundings and learned to live, and survive, in this New Land. But we still did not feel this was our home, so one day, we picked up our belongings and began to move again.

“The going was slow, due to the dense vegetation, and many of us lost our lives, scrambling through the thickets only to fall to our deaths over a sudden sheer cliff and into deep valleys below. We were lost, indeed. Until one day ,we found an area close to the sea, but on a rise in the land, and we decided to rest here awhile. We cleared away the trees and scrub and made an empty place in the forest. In order to keep out wild animals, we built a palisade with a ditch outside it, and inside we built simple roundhouses of mud and wood. This became our home … for a while. We fished, we hunted, and life became less of a struggle.

“One day a new person arrived. He had been travelling alone, lost and scared and had found our settlement. We let him in and listened to his story. His settlement had been some distance away and it had been a good place to live. His father had been master of their people and his Mother, the living representative of the Great Mother in form. But there were those amongst the people who took no part in the running of the settlement. They wanted to contribute nothing, but spent their days in lazy self-indulgence. Their settlement began to split in two, some people supporting the camp and the others taking from it.

“It was decided that those who took from it could no longer dwell within it, but they disagreed, and rebelled. The young man’s parents were both killed and the settlement burned to the ground. The survivors went out into the forests to find other settlements, as no-one knew where the others were, or if indeed, there were any.

“When we heard this man’s tale, it was unanimously agreed that a network of lines should be established, to connect the settlements to each other. Marker stones would be erected showing the position, and directions, to each one. People were elected to find the other settlements and to put this idea to them. We reasoned we would be safer if we knew the whereabouts of each other. We could form alliances to keep ourselves safe. Now, not only were we protecting ourselves from animals, but from people too.

“And so they set off and, in time, many settlements were discovered, and nearly all of them agreed that it was a good idea. It would be harder for the rebels to rebel if they knew other settlements would come to the aid of their leaders, most of whom were fair, and devoted to maintaining the integrity of the settlement.

“Then it was decided that there should be central communities whose job it would be to oversee, and feed, their own group of settlements. Huge banks and ditches were created to mark out their territory, and smaller settlements were under the protection of the larger ones. To maintain balance, the larger settlements were built on hilltops, and could be seen by the others.

“All worked, for a time. The people lived abundant lives, peace reigned, with only minor grievences. But came a day when the invaders rolled up on our shores and everything changed. Our lives, our way of life, changed dramatically. We were no longer lords of our lands and one with the God and Goddess. Now we were outcasts, sent to the margins to exist, but still under the central control of those who wished to take everything we had created.

“Our people became the unwanted ones, as others joined forces with these new invaders, who promised them power and wealth. Some of us remained separate, nomadic travellers. We had returned to the old ways, but it was harder now. The invaders had taken our land, which they now controlled and so, they also controlled the food. We returned to hunting and fishing to feed ourselves. What we had created, to serve and support the communities, was now being used to control them, and there was nothing we could do to stop it.

“In despair we turned to the Goddess, and she told us to bide our time, that soon her ways would return and the ‘takers’ of this land would be gone and all that had once been, would be again. Reassured, we waited, ever staying in the background, watching as waves of new invaders arrived, taking from the takers. But alongside them, came people from another land and they could see our handiwork. We rejoiced, for we thought this was the time spoken of by the Goddess. But we were disappointed. They too were overtaken by the takers and all they built, they lost.

“Over and over again, we watched those who would take, overtake those who tried to bring back the balance. To us it seemed like ‘soon’ was just too far away, so we shrank back into the forests and woodlands, slowly giving up hope that the Goddess would return. The land was a wasteland and we could no longer look upon it.

“One day, we noticed something changing. The world was becoming brighter. At first we did not understand what this meant, but the God and Goddess appeared to us and told us that it was Time; Time for their return to the land of men and to the honouring of each other and of the Earth.

“We were overjoyed, and celebrated with huge feasts and dancing in the moonlight, for we still did not wish to be seen. We began to notice people appearing in our world. People who could see into our hidden places; people who desired to bring back the ways of the Old Ones.

“We collectively decided to share our knowledge and wisdom with these people, for we could see who was pure of heart and who was not. Those whose intentions were true, we passed the knowledge to, making a pact with them that they would share this knowledge with others, who like them, also wanted peace and balance once more.

“And now you know our story. We are the Sidhe of Old, the ancient energies who live in this world and who have been waiting for this time. We hope our collaboration with you, and the ones like you who are trying to ‘right’ the imbalances in the world, yields positive results.  Only in working together can this work be established, and only in this collaboration can our lives have meaning again.

“We are glad that the humanity of the new World are working in partnership with the humanity of the Old World. Together we create a bridge of Light, a bridge that we hope many will cross, bringing our worlds together once more; bridging the wide gap of Time and Space to become One again.

“All this we hope for, and in our hope, lies our deepest desire for communion. All for One and One for all. That is our hope. We greet you on this bridge, so together we can walk into the future, hand in hand, as One.

The Shining Ones.”

  1. Here in Aotearoa (New Zealand) we have the Patupaiarehe and ‘the Surveyors’. The Surveyors were who it is said made stone markers that were distinct. Round boulders placed carefully in areas they could not have been, other stones on ridge lines, visible from quite some distance.
Patupaiarehe shared knowledge with those who arrived here. Look deeper and you will discover how far the story reaches…far off shores share secrets when you are able to open your perspective.

    • The Sidhe are specifically from Ireland, and the British isles (although many Irish people would disagree with the latter, even though they also moved through these English lands after the last ice-age), but I agree, each country has its own resident intelligences that help us. Anywhere there is life, of any kind, there are ancestral and nature intelligences. I have not had personal experiences of the elemental energies in other countries, except for Iceland, because I have not worked those lands, so I cannot write about what I have not experienced. But I am aware of many stories about these energies and have always been interested in the layers of similarity and history. However, I only know what I know and what these energies tell me. Perhaps when I am in living in another country, other than egypt, I will have the information from there. But for now, this is my classroom. I also know that other earth healers work with their own country’s elemental energies, because it is in their DNA. I have read about other people’s experiences in their part of the world. We all do our part.
It sounds like your classroom is there and you are learning some very interesting things. 🙂

      • I would have to disagree. The energy is not solely limited to the UK islands. There is evidence documented by many researchers and historians around Māori verbal history and physical evidence on stone carvings, symbolism used in body art, land marking, even architectural influences, to confirm Celtic, Pict, Druid ‘similarity’ and clear documentation in Maori knowledge keepers and current links (there is much you will not find in the media but that does not discredit what is going on).
Even in the US – all is ‘knitted’ together. More will become obvious BUT these folk l wandered far from where you first think.

You share what you know to be true, take a moment to link what others (not just me but numerous reputable scholars and respected authors).

These folk are known as being who you refer – their name changed through generations and names given by those who were not them. They still channel what is known.

      • Again, the SIDHE are traditonally Irish. In New Zealand, and in other places they might have a different identity, or way for that culture to name them. All cultures have their ancestral wisdom, as I said before. In this post, I am repeating what the SIDHE specifically told me about their own migration, their part to play in this part of the world. I’m sure you are in connection with the beings in your part of the world. Maybe that is why you are there. We are all part of a worldwide team, knitting it all together, as you say. We each do our part. 😀

      • Neutral observer here. I can see, Grid, that you are unaware of how you come across, but when I read your comments they feel alternately preachy, lecturing and argumentative. The energy in them feels spiky.

      • Thanks Catherine. So Sidhe say they travelled and the importance on acknowledging we are one. I offer a sense of my perspective knowing how far the Sidhe actually went and their influence.
Do bridges of light have a chance when those who see themselves as neutral are choosing to define others?

I may come across as preachy but that was never my intention. I admit I get frustrated when I ‘see’ energy ‘wondering’ when is what is needed to be known actually going to be heard?

Recognise in order to be light you need to raise the perspective, choosing to label or limit energy will just limit what could be known. It is not neutral nor wrong to share your perspective. To suggest wrong doing of another though is to no longer be neutral.

I am simply saying Bridges of Light exist – they extend further than you think. Let’s hope everyone can recognise what they are when they appear..

Enjoy your journey – Be well, bring wellness.

      • Thanks Ann – my perspective is not that different to yours. I admit the passion can be misinterpreted.

I receive this invitation as something I am not alone in doing. Like you I have awareness and are comfortable with where that is taking me. That is not online blogs. It was here and that will make sense. I am not going into it though, some see it while others do not. All as it should be, just is.

I know what my purpose is. Many are just still waking up to their part. I firmly believe discussion and ability to be open to sharing inspires more people who never take the time to comment. It appears in this moment those who recognise what was shared are yet to align. None of us has a monopoly on how or why, states of flow.

Again – Enjoy your journey. I know where this is going. Just appears it isn’t time yet.

And if nothing else it is the Super Blue Moon in Aquarius. Freeing.

      • Hi Grid, I admit I sometimes find it hard to connect with your mind streams, because I work on a much more eartheir wavelength. ( I am currently creating a post by the Elemental energies who explain what that is about). But we are all where we are and we are there for a purpose. Your perspectives are yours, based on your experiences of energy, and that is great. We all have our connections. That’s what makes this work so interesting. I am interested in the belief systems and elemental workings in your part of the world. I’m just not sure that we can paint everything with the same brush. There are many variations in how energies are perceived and worked with, and I certainly don’t claim to know everything about everything. Far from it. All I do is share what I am given. It is up to those reading it, to do with it what they see fit. We all take the threads and weave them into something that makes sense for us. We can’t all wear the same clothes. Everything is flow, absolutely, and information shared is simply the message from other levels of existence that wish to help humanity, through us. We all do our part. It’s why I love this work so much.
But there is something in learning to trust another person’s ability to find information, and act on it, in their own time. There is no rush. I have been doing this work since 1994 and have seen how many things have changed. So there is time, and we are all on time. Which is another post…

        Enjoy your blue moon.

      • Interestingly I was awake at 4am and wrote the reply above but interestingly enough a figure came through to offer more detail. They mentioned Asia area and Pari beings, Menehune (who are dwarfs from my understanding). Giants, goblins…names for these were communicated.
It was still made clear the Sidhe and NZ have a connection. It doesn’t make sense for most part but the evidence is there. This energy spoke of a bond that may not be mentioned by some Sidhe because they did not venture as far. They could be prior to that branch and not spoken or acknowledged those who ventured back.
It was said Pari are like ancient, even lost to the Sidhe or layered within but Patupaiarehe have something that interconnect directly.

Noting this is not from Maori mythology, Maori actively distanced themselves from patupaiarehe or another term for them was  pakehakeha. It is said the term pakeha (white man / English man) was influenced through the name they gave this energy or sense of beings because similarity was recognised.

My perspective is from what I have been shown. The energy has shown the bond and confirmed elements within that. It will sound odd but there is reason why distant connections and communication takes place. You sharing your experience and myself sharing mine I am told is with reason yet to be made clear.

Also – unrelated to this but what are your thoughts on the altar stone origin at Stonehenge. When confirmed I felt deep comfort or knowing. Hard to explain, felt like an energetic dance that has had a rhythm clarified. A tone defined.

  2. Comments that validate and extend what you are acknowledging can only be of benefit. After all, as you mention, we can only share our individual perspectives but in doing that we can knit all those unique views into a meaningful tapestry.

Even what is documented around dragons, in your words and those shared is actually very similar. You are not working in isolation – there are others.

    • Of course there are others. 🙂 I am aware of many people who work with them. Again, Grid, I am only speaking about my own experiences. I cannot speak for others. Although, I think it is brilliant confirmation when I find others who work with them in the same way, especially as there are so many other people working with them, in so many different ways. They are not MY dragons. 😀

  3. And the Sidhe are not defined as solely working with only a limited few or with only those in Ireland or the UK. The energy of the Sidhe communicates far beyond the UK. Do not imply perspective as having geographical limitations. Just because there are others globally do not think they are limited to ‘regional energy’.
Energy is simply that – and it has ability to be known and share information with reason beyond what we can fathom.

It might be why the Sidhe have raised what they have for you at this time, it could be now there is time for reconnection and more layers to become ‘unhidden’. It could be a sense of who they are energetically goes much much further and now is the moment for those perspectives to be revealed.

It would be fascinating to drop the sense of borders or regions for these energies, whatever name or location they are, and see as a global community how they are united.

There will be reason for why I feel ignited around this topic, why you also feel ignited to post what you have. All has reason, and from what I have been made aware of this energy (and the many names associated with it) wants more to be known and embraced.

Maybe this is the point we see beyond regions and geographical senses. To return to core elements…like a wheel…the rim travels but spokes pivot on the axle. Like an altar stone at Stonehenge…origins are acknowledged…(that is significant!!)

  4. I read often but the comment from Catherine really triggers me to write. Grid offers confirmation that the Sidhe travelled. The bridges of light are about connection and I sense Grid’s frustration and totally understand why. The Sidhe suggest they travelled – they say the old ways will return yet here we are trying to say the energy is wrong or that can’t be.

Let’s acknowledge connection and welcome comments from anyone without needing to read too much into the tone. That is part of what the Sidhe are saying – we are One.

From another neutral view – I enjoy the additional global interest. Welcome Grid – I actually enjoy the additional bits.
