Opening a portal of Light, Winchester Cathedral Grounds.

This was an unexpected activation in the grounds of Winchester cathedral. We had been doing so much here over the past year and thought we were done, but no, turns out we weren’t.

We had gone to Kneaded, as usual, and decided to potter for a bit in the Cathedral Grounds. We were not feeling pulled to do anything in particular – until – just as we began to walk towards the Cathedral on the path from the Square, I saw a beam of solar light come in. I saw another one, a blue, like a column that needed to be anchored further along and then the pink column on the other side of the green. We were being instructed to create a triangle between the three. A portal energy.

From the solar/yellow pillar we walked a yellow line to the next blue pillar. From there, we walked a blue line to the pink column, and then returned to the yellow one, creating a pink line. The portal was now made up of three frequencies. Looking at the photo above, I see that the portal is over the cross-roads of the paths. That must mean something.

Once the triangle was complete, we were instructed to stand in the centre of it, which is where the paths cross. A large white feather appeared in the triangle, nearly filling the shape. The triangle was now three-dimensional, like a low pyramid. (We had created a pyramid energy recently in Avebury too).

In the same space as the white feather, a white column descended and a white flame ignited where it stood, in the centre of the pyramid, held by the three-fold energies of the pink, blue and gold/yellow pillars. Each of these energies work on different levels, but exist in the same space.

I reached up and brought down another energy. To my surprise it was a ladder! Like Jacob’s Ladder. It was about moving up levels, like an initiatic portal. An Ascension energy. In doing this, we had opened a channel of energy which anyone can access. Standing in the centre of this triangle, for anyone visiting Winchester, will move your frequency into ascension levels.

The space within the pyramid was now filled with a huge harp, whose sound frequencies were connected to the cathedral itself. It was connected to the sounds of nature; Elemental sounds. We were then shown a clear wine bottle. Both of us saw that. We realised, after a while, that it was one of the essences we had made and we needed to bring that here. Which would have to be on another day. We were told to bring a libation to this point. It was the White Dragon of Burley essence we had made in the New Forest.

As we didn’t have that essence with us we had to come back the following week.

Back in the grounds, with the essence, and holding the energy of the previous working, we continued. A Hathor energy came in. Chris was aware of a spiral energy, like a gold vortex. I poured some of the Burly Essence on the ground at the centre of the triangle/pyramid and we were then instructed to go into the Cathedral. The triangle needed to be connected to a point within it.

At the back of the Cathedral, where the Triple flame is anchored, we connected the white flame of the triangle/pyramid along with the white column, the white feather and the White Dragon. This acted as a balance between both points. When Nadia and I did the yellow column-anchoring on the south side of the cathedral, we were creating a balance between the masculine energies and the feminine. Now, with this white portal, the balance was creating a triad of energies between the DF (Divine Feminine) and DM (Divine Masculine) the Light of Ascension, the upper spiritual levels. Anybody who goes and stands in this pyramid and asks for the energies they need will be given exactly that.

We were told to go to the crypt next and call the serpent energies. The crypt holds the water energies, symbolised by the blue serpent. Here, the Hathor energies came in. Back in October 24, during a visit by Malia (who went through a week of initiations) we had also stood in the crypt. On that visit, the crypt was filled with the energy of a large blue female serpent who filled the space. She came right up to us and planted a mass of tiny serpents in our Centres (behind the navel). This was my first up-close experience of the blue serpent in this way; she usually lives in the water layer below the cathedral and I only ever see in her in the well in the crypt. It had been raining all year and the water table was high, so I Imagine this is why she had come.

I have been holding the baby serpents in my belly for months, knowing they would be used at some point, but not knowing when. Some of Malia’s ended up at the White Spring in Glastonbury. Shortly after this there was a big storm and we wondered if that is why this serpent mother had appeared when she did, so huge and powerful. Now, back in the crypt, some of these baby serpents were going back in. We have had little rain since winter, (this work was carried out after two months of little rain) so I imagine this is why they were going back. But not all of them, only two or three. The rest remain with me, held in my body as energy of a particular frequency. The serpent babies were both blue and green, water and vegetation. Returning the balance.

I then became aware of the pond at St Cross and it was saying to me about the balance of water and growing things. The green Dragon – that is the Cathedral – made its presence felt too. The green dragon is the energy of all living green things and because it resides, energetically within the cathedral, it changes the frequency of the stone building to make it resonate with nature’s energy. There is crystal in the stone of the cathedral, and crystal holds the memory of creation, along with the forces which originally formed the stone, so it is important that the building itself is in resonance with nature so that what is outside is also inside. Often, in buildings which do not resonate, there is a distinct difference in the feeling of being inside a building and being outside. The building materials cut off the connection to nature. It has something to do with the effect on the earth’s magnetic field. Human habitation sites become more magnetic over time, weirdly.

When I was doing archaeological field surveys we used a magnetometer. Before doing the survey we had to calibrate the instrument with the earth’s magnetic field. Then, with that as its baseline, any underground pits, buildings, ditches etc would show up as different to the magnetic field. Fired brick was often more magnetic due to iron inclusions in the fabric of the pot. Since knowing that, it explained why coming back into an urban area after being in nature for a while was so disorienting. When working with the natural forces, we are aligned to the earth’s magnetic field. But urban areas are not. Working with the green dragons seems to change that, naturalising the building materials, but so far I have only seen that happen with natural stone.

The things we don’t realise…

I have added an image from Google Earth to show you where the sites are, should you want to visit. Looking at the sites from an aerial perspective shows an alignment between the activated sites (if you ignore the green dragon icon which takes in the whole cathedral). On either end of that alignment there is a tree. Make of that what you will.

The Southern Magnolia. Winchester.

I introduced Chris to the Southern Magnolia which Nadia and I had visited the previous week. He brought his dowsing rods with him, for the first time in ages. We did the energywork first before he did the dowsing and also made an essence, invited to do so by the tree.

When we got tot h tree, Chris was picking up that there was a link, somehow, between the tree and the eastern end of the Cathedral. That link became clear later. He also picked up on the clergyman who had guided me and Nadia to the place we needed to work when we anchored the masculine energy in the green. So he seems to be very present here and connected to an important book.

I was feeling energy coming up my legs and moving into my sacral centre. From there, it flowed out into the energy around me. A bit like a tree bringing energy up through the roots and expressing it creatively through its leaves. Moving energy creatively, as this tree does.

I then received the message: Let destiny unfold. This was very much to do with the energy of this tree and how it simply allows life to unfold. It doesn’t push to make things happen, but flows instead. It allows its energy to flow gently. Letting things flow through it, like the rain, the wind. Accepting, trusting and allowing. There are no blockages, no restrictions. There was also a sense of sharing, there is no need to worry about lack of energy. It is limitless.

From the leaves, through a gentle breeze, energy flowed in through my upper fields and flowed down through my heart and into my sacral centre. It flowed, in the same way as the energy from the roots had, out through my sacral and into the world. The energy comes in from the earth, through the roots, and down from the branches, simultaneously, but emerging creatively through our creative centre.

At this point, I was told to do an energy connection with the tree. Chris was told to make the initial connection by physically touching the tree trunk and connecting his heart to the heart of the tree. Next, he was to visualise the yellow line moving up to the sun and the black line moving down to the Obsidian dragon at the centre of the earth. We were then joined in a Triangle, just as Nadia and I had experienced when we first made the connection to this tree.

Chris began to sway towards the tree trunk, feeling the serpentine earth energy as it moved into his body. (When doing healing with the Gaia Method the body responds to the earth energy by moving, like a hypnotised cobra). But Chris felt the tree was pushing him back when he swayed too close to it. ‘Stand on your own two feet’, it seemed to be saying, ‘Don’t lean on me. Trust in your own ability to hold this energy.’

Next, I anchored the white cone in Chris’s body. Followed by the black one. The white cone came from above, a vortex of spiralling energy. The black cone came up from the earth, a spiralling black vortex. They met in the solar plexus. The white spun clockwise. The black spun anticlockwise.

We then had to thank everything we had, being in a state of gratitude. Grateful to all the Elemental Beings who help us, and the Earth beings who help us. To all our guides, people, everything. Just holding that sense of trusted flow and gratitude.

The black dragon then moved into the black vortex; the white dragon into the white one, meeting in the centre. But this time it was about Will. Moving into the Divine Will of Heaven and Earth. Holding the balance of earth power, via the black dragon, and the divine inspiration from above, through the white. The black dragon is the deep unknown, the potential, holding deep power. We have, as healers, to hold that balance within us. To be able to wield a portion of the earth’s power while being divinely inspired, using both these energies to create a new life, both for ourselves and for the planet. Both these dragon energies work within the same creative earth energies but with very different foci. But they are perfect together.

In the tree, there now appeared a gold key, and it unlocked that point where the two cones/vortices meet. Another line of energy then ascended through the body, and descended at the same time. This was about giving the ability to absorb all the energies, both vertically and horizontally, of tree beingness. How they are all connected to each other, from the smallest shrub to the tallest tree. Working at that level. Where that point meets is where the trees are. Between heaven and earth.

The key then became blue and it opened another energy sending this blue into the outer edge of the cones, like a layering. The black and white are the polarity, the blue brings peace and holds it in balance. Then the key became yellow, opening, again, another frequency. Gold coins were part of this yellow. A pink key then was given by the tree again, to open the meeting point. Bands of light then moved up and down the cones like pulsing bands of energy. A Divine frequency.

The three colours, yellow/gold, blue and pink are the three colours we work with. These colours work with the dragon frequencies, and the flames.

I then was shown a crossbow, but it was dragon energy and the arrow was wooden. This had something to do with being able to send dragon energy to make the connection between one tree and other. It is also about being able to send that energy put as an attunement. The connection would be fast, having that velocity behind it. The trees have always been my teachers, and shared with me many of the Gaia Method energies.

We then made the essence, placing the bottle between the branching trunks. A lovely feminine Being stood behind me as I did this. All the colours that we were given in this attunement was placed in the water, to assist with assimilation of these energies. The lovely Elemental Being put an elemental light in there too. She also dropped in a clear fluid, like sap. But it was also light.

We gave some of the essence back to the tree by dropping some of it on the ground by its trunks.

Chris then took out his dowsing rods and began to dowse across the field where the tree grew. The rods showed that the tree was on a wide energy line that flowed towards the Pilgrim’s Hall (dated to 1308), underground. We followed it, did a couple of short videos and ended up on the other side of the hall, in the street. Chris dowsed here as well only to find that the channel had widened and continued on through the grey building (in the video) and proceeded along under the left side of College Street. We decided it must be one of the underground rivers, part of the river Itchen, which branched into several smaller rivers. Fortuitously, at that point, a bearded man passed us and said ‘It’s the Itchen.’ Turns out he studied archaeology two years after I left Winchester College (now University of Winchester) and had studied Winchester.

So. the roots of our lovely Magnolia lie above the river as it runs beneath this part of the cathedral. This also explained the initial feeling of Chris’s that the tree was connected with the east end of Winchester Cathedral. It is connected – via the water.

The following week, on another Tuesday, and another breakfast in Kneaded, Nadia and I went back to the gorgeous tree, this time with one of my granddaughters. twelve year old Niamh. I was surprised to see the double cones still there, at the base of the tree. As if in receiving the energies they had also anchored there permanently. She stood where the twin cones were and was given the heartwood symbol, while she was standing with her back to the tree. Then the tree suggested Niamh receive it too, so I guided her through that process as well. She was given a little gift on her heartwood symbol, like a present on a Christmas tree. Between the three of us, we had a lovely heart connection triangle going.

Then I focused on Nadia again, and she connected her upper yellow line and her lower black line, as we had done together at the Mother Tree. I walked her through the double cone exercise. And for her the dragons did something different. as they came from their respective cones the dragons entwined around her heartwood tree, spiralling around each other. Like snakes they wound around her tree branches, filling her tree-ness with black and white balanced energy.

Next the blue came in, the water, which moved into the base cone. The white cone then became yellow, energised by the solar light. The blending of the yellow and the blue became green where the cones met, like watercolour paint merging. Often, when doing flame work, the three base colours, pink, blue and yellow, merge to become green. This happens by itself. So for everyone, this is an individual thing.

Niamh didn’t mention anything about the heart wood tree experience, stuck on her phone as she was, until, on the drive home, she asked: ‘So Grandma, when will I get the gift on the tree?’ I told her I had no idea. She’d have to wait. Yep, I thought. Typical twelve-year- old. But she is patient.

White Dragon/Mother Oak. Protection, Sanctuary and Abundance.

The Mother Oak gives strong stability and wisdom and teaches you to recognise damaging behaviour, teaching you to trust yourself when something does not ‘feel right’. The White Dragon gives energetic protection from external energies building a forcefield around your auric field which provides protection and strength. (You can read more about this dragon in the blog post: The white Dragon as protector energy and The Dragon of Burley). This essence can be used in your home when you want to feel a sense of sanctuary. It creates a safe space for others. It is very good to use if you are a healer working with vulnerable clients because it imparts to them a sense of safety and trust. They internally recognise that you are a safe container for them. Included in this essence is the energy of gratitude and the gift of abundance. The gratitude comes from the Goddess of Water, and she teaches us to be grateful to the rivers and waters of the world and skies, to be grateful for the abundance bestowed on us through them. Water is a gift and the abundance in the waters of the earth is to be valued, not taken for granted. We will always be taken care of when we recognise, truly, the value of water and its myriad creatures.

Black Dragon. Deep Healing

This essence allows you to get in touch with both your own shadow and that of the planet’s. For those of you who work with the black dragon, bringing the darkness to light, this essence assists you in that endeavour. It is helpful when working at sites, clearing layers of stuck energy and when working with clients. It is also good when you are in your own personal healing process and finding it difficult to get unstuck. It imparts to you the energy and strength of the black dragon as you battle your demons and helps you get to the root of things.

Green Dragon of St. Nectan’s Kieve. Tintagel.

This essence is made with water from the waterfall and contains the energies of St. Nectan and his gifts and intentions. It also contains the Green Dragon energies of the Valley and the fertility created by the waters of the Kieve. According to tradition, ‘St Nectan placed in the little bell-tower of his secluded chapel, a silver bell, the notes of which were so clear and penetrating they could be heard far off at sea. St Nectan was on the bed of death. There was strife in the land. A severe struggle was going on between the Churchmen, and endeavours were being made to introduce a new faith.’ (The Roman Catholic church). ‘The sunset of life gave to the saint the spirit of prophecy, and he told his weeping followers that the light of their religion would grow dim in the land; but that a spark would for ever live amidst the ashes, and that in due time it would kindle into a flame, and burn more brightly than ever. His silver bell, he said, should never ring for others than the true believer. He would enclose it in the rock of the Kieve; but when again the true faith revived, it should be recovered, and rung, to cheer once more the land.’ And that time is now, for we are rediscovering the older Celtic Christian traditons which venerate the land and the Goddess and which serves humanity. Using this essence allows you to access those older ways of working with the Divine power of nature, and the Green dragon of all growing things as it travels through the water. It calls you to create places of sanctuary, and to be a voice in the wilderness calling others to safety. To be a guide for others while they navigate the stormy waters of change. In short, it calls to all those whose roles are to be the guardians of sanctuary who create places of succor and wisdom. Those of you who feel a deep calling to preserve the old ways and renew them for the future benefit of humankind.

Red Dragon. Freedom.

Dragon people are the bringers of change. They are the rebels of the world, fighting an old order that no longer works. They break things up, they challenge society’s thinking and beliefs, but often, they have to fight their own way to freedom first. This essence was made in the Great hall in Winchester. Although centuries old, this place was, until recently, a court of law where justice was meted out. Sometimes, the red dragons can get trapped by society’s expectations. They can be dependent on people and situations, having had their power and freedom taken away from them by others who seem to be more powerful than they. But it is an illusion. Freedom comes when they begin to see through the illusion and they start to change the beliefs/chains that bind them and they break through into freedom. They let of their fears and with courage, change their route.

Short Meditation Video. A Helping Hand.

Here is a short meditation on a symbol I recently received when I was obviously in need of some ‘Upstairs’ help. I have been going through some issues with my father, who I look after every day and had been doing some Hara Line healing at the same time. I really should have known what the outcome would be.

It was explosive, to say the least.

But I was given the symbol to help me to stay connected to my guidance and not get too stuck in old energies. I have added more information below the video which I hope you find useful.

I received this symbol when I was struggling with a relationship issue that had its roots in a past life. Deep in the emotional layers of this old dynamic, which had been playing itself out for most of my current life, my guides obviously knew I needed some help.

While doing a meditation to connect with my Soul and the upper levels of my energy-field, intending to gain more understanding of how the dynamic needed to be healed, I was given this symbol. The image appeared above my head, and I recognised it as one I had received before but had not understood its meaning so promptly forgot all about it. This time, however, my guides wanted me to understand the meaning so it could be used intentionally.

The inverted triangle represents the upper levels of consciousness, the levels of guides/angels/spirit/your Higher Self, etc. It is inverted because the energies are reaching down to the physical layers from a more expanded state of consciousness. This expanded state is the energy of Soul-love and higher understanding. It removes the energy of powerlessness in the situation and reminds us of the higher purpose of the relationship, even if that is not a conscious remembrance. The image that came with the symbol was of a father reaching down to hold the hand of his child. (Symbols usually have a visual component which explains the use of the symbol. It could equally have been a woman’s hand, but as my guide is male, I imagine this is why it came in this way).

Sometimes old emotional energies need to be moved through, rather than held onto. You can get stuck in the old dynamic, rather than moving through the releasing of it.  The symbol can help you maintain unconditional love for the person while still releasing the stuck and painful energies of the past. This works well if there is a deep bond with the person, such as a family member, or close personal relationship, etc. However, as with all healing, there must be a readiness to see another person with unconditional love. If you are in a damaging relationship, it is more difficult to see with unconditional love and survival may be more important. Often, the ability to see the other person as a co-creator comes later and after much healing and therapy. But when you have healed, or let go of someone, or you are in healing dynamic and old issues come up, then is a good time to use this energy.

If you find yourself in an emotional situation and need to stay centred or you want to become unstuck, then meditate on this symbol. It helps if you visualise, or intend, both the symbol and the image of the adult’s hand reaching down to you, offering its help and pulling you out of old dense energies.

Another use of the symbol is for when you need to raise your consciousness to a higher level while moving through healing. If you do healing, or any other kind of energetic work, such as readings, etc., and you are experiencing a release of emotional energies yourself, it can be a challenge to rise above the denser emotional energies to connect with your guides or Soul. But by using this symbol, you are given a helping hand so you can work and heal at the same time, something I was never able to do in the past. In fact, I really could have used this back then when I found it nearly impossible to do anything ‘normal’ while going through deep healing.

After creating this short meditation, my guides then shared another use for the symbol, this time using it for white dragon inspiration.

The addition of the white dragon vortex is to get you unstuck and out of a creative rut. If you need inspiration, especially when involved in a creative endeavour that is inspired by higher consciousness, then try meditating with this version. It should get the creative juices flowing again. This also works when, just as in the healing process, you have to work when you are feeling emotionally blocked.

Try using the energy and see what happens. And remember to keep a record. You might need it one day.

White Dragon/Serpent Key.

11 June 2009.

This is an old diary entry, which I thought might be an interesting view into how I received one of the Gaia Method Earthways Symbols. I received most of the symbols this way, always in nature, and this barrow is one I return to again and again. I always receive something new from the Guardian there.

I went up to Micheldever woods with May, my first grandchild, and one of my daughters, Hana. It was a lovely walk, and we went through the Iron-Age Banjo enclosure, in Itchen woods, and then the ‘King’s’ barrow, followed by a walk to the ‘Queen’s’ barrow, which lies some distance away. I didn’t think we could negotiate the buggy through the woods, but we managed!

As we stood on the Queen’s barrow, which is what we call it, the energy felt exhilarating. The wind blew up, and it was like we were in a thunderstorm. Elemental energy is often experienced this way and it is the way the elemental energies indicate their presence.

Beneath the barrow, I began to ‘see’ a pink crystal, and a blue one. Hana took May to the buggy to give her a snack, so I could tune in properly. I had not expected to be doing this today; we’d only come for a walk but as I stood there, I saw the blue crystal clearly. The energy of the lady guardian of the barrow permeated my energy-field. When this happens, it is as if their energy is my energy; I feel like her, much the same as when mediums feel the energy of the person who is coming through them.

Looking down at my feet, I became aware that I was wearing a long white dress that spread out all around me and covered the barrow in white, fabric folds, like satin. I held a key in my right hand. A keyhole appeared in the blue crystal as it hovered within the barrow and I inserted the key into the keyhole. When it opened, it had become a bejewelled chest. The chest lid opened and inside was yet another key. This new key had a green lustre. For a couple of minutes, I received no further information so I asked what this key was for. The information floated into my head. I was told that it was a Gaia Method Earthways key. I waited for the energy of the key to show itself but it took some time. A white vortex began to form around me, and I understood the symbol was the vortex.

This white vortex began to transform into a sparkly white dragon. That was the name of the key: The White Dragon Key. I asked what this symbol did as it obviously whirled around the energy field. I was told that it raised the vibration of the field to a higher level, the level of the realm of ideas. All the ideas that ever were and ever will be are contained in this layer and with this symbol, you can access them. The layer seems to be full of as-yet-unmanifested potentials.

I felt strongly, that in return for this gift, I wanted to give something back to the site, so I asked what I could give. I saw the Venus mirror symbol, with the mirror turning and flashing in the sun as it rotated. It was as though it was sending light information through the air to other sites but what this information might be, I wasn’t sure. Then I saw the symbol anchoring about 30 cm in the earth. Where it anchored, ruby Venus energy spread like tree roots beneath the barrow. The mirror flashed again, as though it was signalling other sites which expressed the Venus energy, like a ruby Morse code.

At one point I saw an opening in the earth being opened by many hands. It was like the Sheila na gig opening in spring except that this time there was an ancient burial of a woman inside it. She was so ancient she looked mummified. The guardian of the burial showed me a ring the dead woman wore on her left-hand ring finger. She said she wished to give me this ring, if I would accept it. I asked her what it was for and she said it would help me move forward when things were slow. It would help me get to where I needed to, both vibrationally, and physically. I thought about that and decided it was a good thing to have, so I accepted. The guardian took the ring from the ancient lady, who reminded me of Hatshepsut, and placed the ring on my finger. The Lady in the Barrow was the Guardian, her energy still very present, that was the reason for her burial there.

When the energy returned to normal, I relayed what had happened to Hana. She was thrilled because, as she had been looking after May, she too had seen the white vortex and had seen herself standing at the edge of a white energy-field.

It’s always good to receive confirmation.

I have to say the elemental energy of the barrow was wonderful. Even May was squealing with excitement, watching the trees blowing in the wind.

The Protective Dragon of Burley.

A few weeks ago, we went to the New Forest to visit an Iron Age hillfort called Castle Hill, near Burley. I was reading ‘The Forest’ by Edward Rutherford and he mentioned a myth about a dragon there. As I have often found, where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. Myths are great for finding sites associated with dragons because ancient cultural beliefs remain in the collective unconscious of the area.

The Oak Mother Tree.

Once we climbed up the hill to the hillfort, not realising, until we were inside, that there was a road which would have given us direct access, we found a beautiful old oak tree. It felt like a Mother Tree and it stood at the western entrance. We were told to make an essence in this old tree, which was a combination of her ancient stability and wisdom, and the white dragon energies that protected the site.

The white dragon, which looked very ‘fleshy’, more like a Chinese dragon, had long serpent-like tendrils hanging down from beside its nostrils and it stood at the entrance, facing outwards, acting as protector of the hillfort. On the other side of the hillfort, at the other entrance, I could see another one, looking out towards Lymington. My guides instructed me to walk sunwise, around the inside of the fort, and to connect the dragons to each other via a white light ring. In my mind’s eye, it reminded me of that old toothpaste advert, with its ring of confidence. White with a blue tinge.

Chinese White Dragon.

As we walked in a circle, around the inside of the fort, we continued to tune into the energies of the site. We were told that this place was a place of safety during times of invasion. When outlying villages were attacked, the people who lived outside would come to be fed and protected. It felt like it was during a time when there was much instability and villages were routinely robbed and destroyed.

Dragon priests, able to communicate with the elemental energies of the place, were given forewarning that an attack was imminent, and they informed the villagers, who trusted them completely. They then left their homesteads and came to the safety of the fort, often returning later to burned homes and destroyed livelihoods.

Rain-filled gravel pit on top of the hill.

Part of the energies of these dragons was that the protection they offered was an energetic force-field which only allowed in energies that resonated with them. The priests of the place held that energy. If others came with bad intention, they were denied access. It was as if they would feel repelled by the place. Perhaps a fear set in, or a superstition triggered. Something always kept them out. I have found this before, at particularly elemental sites. An energy-field that you could only access if you saw beyond the glamour that surrounded them. They were invisible to most people. The ‘glamour’ came in the form of fear. For no reason that you could see, you would suddenly become afraid, seeing darkness all around you. Only if you could see the fear for what it was could you access the wisdom and knowledge of the elementals who inhabited the place.

The white dragons fulfilled the same purpose in Castle Hill hillfort.

Essence being made.

As we made the white dragon essence at the Mother Tree, I became aware of a blue dragon energy moving in a line behind me. I was facing the centre of the fort, and the line, which looked like a blue serpent energy, entered the back of my Hara and rose out of my crown, then it travelled down through my feet. I had the strongest feeling we needed to go to wherever this blue dragon line was coming from. This turned out to be the Avon River at Ringwood.

We drove to Ringwood and brought this new essence to the river, following our intuition to the river, by a lovely green area called Jubilee park. As I poured some of the tree essence into the river, I heard myself say: ‘A gift from the Mother’.

The Avon in Ringwood.

Next, I filled a bottle with water from the river to take back to the fort. I was told it was ‘the gift of water’. And I was aware of how privileged we were to have water. Some places don’t have any. The feeling was that water was a gift, one we could not live without. There were so many places that did not have water, such as in desert environments and places where humans have polluted the seas and rivers and groundwater. We do not recognise what a gift we have. What I loved about this exchange of gifts was that they were given freely, in recognition of the importance of both places.

This was also my cue to stop complaining about the extremely wet winter we have had all winter. I had become so tired of my back-garden quagmire, which my hens had created, and I’d begun to think the rain would never stop.

Before we left the little park, I had a desire to stand on the bridge over the river. Looking across the sparkling waters, the view was beautiful! There was a glorious feminine energy presiding over this fast-flowing river, and she told me she would like to add to the essence, which now contained oak, dragon, and water energy. She put a fish into it, just like at the Itchen last year. The fish is masculine energy, but still hers.

A Gift of Water Fertility.

We drove back to the hillfort and brought the water to the tree. There, I had to walk around it anti-clockwise in a circle, pouring some of the water on the ground as I walked. Chris did one half, and I did the other, like a yin/yang. Pouring the water in this way tells us that this essence is both for use as an energetic spray, and to be gifted to the land in certain areas. This gifting activates energies at the site. Many times, when making an essence, we are told to pour some on the ground, or at the base of a tree. This then sets up an activation point which affects the energies coming in and going out.

Having finished the circle, it felt like we had completed another circuit, just as we had with the white ‘ring of confidence’.

The following week, we went to Lymington. Such a lovely town, with its old fishing alleys and a small slipway. Now, however, it is no longer a small fishing village but a marina. We walked as far down to the sea as we could, then stood beside another slipway, from where I could see the opposite shore. I never know what to expect when I reach a place, and this time was no different. But, thinking I had some active work to do here, I was surprised when nothing happened. Instead, I felt an energetic aura of water emerge from the sea and surround me, as if I was carrying a bubble of water. It was a strange wobbly experience and I was very aware of holding this fluidly moving bubble of liquid. But I knew this was to be brought back to Castle Hill.

We drove into the hillfort this time and wandered down to the oak tree at the entrance. Standing beneath its branches, I felt the bubble of water, which was undulating around me, suddenly flop onto the ground, where it then seeped into the soil in a cascade of blue.

That was all I needed to do – I thought – until I saw a large white dragon’s egg appear beneath the tree. We were instructed to stand within this egg and were told that this was an initiation into the protective guardian energies of the White dragon. We could transfer this protection to people who would be the guardians of a sacred place. We could also place it around a home if that place was going to be a sanctuary or healing space.

Both water lines anchored.

After this gift, the work was complete, so we explored the rest of the hillfort. There are old gravel pits there now, filled with rainwater and as I stood looking into one, I felt an impulse to throw a little gold ring in. It was a tiny ring I had found walking up a road around Winchester and which only fit on the first joint of my little finger. It had originally been on something, like the rim of a bottle, but I knew, when I found it, that it was destined for someplace else, so I had worn it with that in mind. I have very little jewellery left at this stage, as so much of it has ended up in pools or rivers. A gift for a gift – or a symbolic sacrifice, a letting go of attachment. Plus, the metal can work as a physical anchor for activated energies.

It makes me wonder, though, about the real purpose was for all those iron-age swords and gold found thrown into rivers and bog pool in ancient times.

Perhaps those ancient people also exchanged gifts with the spirit of special places and energies…
