Red Sea Creation
This essence was made in Sahl Hasheesh on the Red Sea. This is a truly healing place to be and brings artistic inspiration and deep nourishment. Creating is often a solitary activity, happening in the depths of ourselves. Like a shellfish, our pearls travel through us, channelled, nurtured then birthed onto the beach of our lives, for all to see. It may stay hidden inside our protective shell for a while but eventually the shell will open, gently, and our creation will then be open and available. This essence provides the protective space we need in order to heal and develop our creative gifts and then gives us the courage to birth them into the world.

Maternal Ancestry
This was created in Sahl Hasheesh, by the Red Sea in Hurghada in a place connected to Neptune, a Northern Sea energy. The essence itself is the energy of a joined Sisterhood of women, flowing from the past and into the future, through the present. The knowledge of our female ancestors is helping us to create new relationships where the creative energy of both male and female are equally honoured; where men recognise the role that women play in creation and where women recognise the gifts that men bring.
We all have male and female within us so this helps us to work with both sides of our creative nature, acknowledging the value in both.

Red Sea Healing
This was the first essence I made when I first arrived in Sahl Hasheesh. I put my feet in the water on the beach and was invited to make an essence. I had not expected to make one so soon after arriving from Luxor, but I obviously needed healing.
The essence was gifted by the Goddess of the Bay. A gentle, nurturing Soul, yet highly creative, her essence is balm to the Soul and provides a healing space after challenging times. It brings Peace to Body and Soul and allows for a nurturing of Self, on all levels.
This is a gentle essence which slowly brings peace and healing to the body and to the emotions. Trauma, and PTSD, are greatly helped by this essence, especially in conjunction with therapy and healing from other qualified healers.

Solar Lioness Hatshepsut
This essence was made in the Solar Court of Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple in Luxor. This was the place where ceremonies were carried out and offerings given to the Lord of the Sun. The Sun conferred life to all that grew and was the masculine principle of creation. Hatshepsut, a female pharaoh, could channel this solar light through her body to confer the blessings of the Lord of the Sun onto the fields, thus bringing fertility to all that grew, so no-on went hungry.
This essence allows you to harness the masculine energy of creation in order to bring abundance into your life. In using this essence you stand tall as you rule over your life. You are your own authority, capable of creating your own abundance especially in areas previously thought of as purely masculine.
Your masculine side gains in strength, self-assurance and forward movement bringing growth, healing and creativity.
We were finally given our instructions to go to St. Catherine’s Hill to conclude the lessons of the Spring rites. I wondered why that day had been chosen, a week into the month of May, especially as the 1st of May has always been the traditional day for celebrating the Spring ritual. Perhaps it was because the sun was shining, or maybe it lay in the influence of the stars, or… who knows? I don’t question the instructions. I am simply the witness, the learner, the student.
On the drive there, having picked up a Freecycled chicken coop, I received messages about Mary Wollstonecraft, and the rise of Feminine power. I could feel this power. It was not the rise of women who used male power models as their own, but a true feminine power. However, I didn’t quite understand what this had to do with the Rites of May. I was still no clearer by the end of the day!
We parked along Five-Bridges Road and walked towards the River Itchen. It was important that we came from this direction, rather than the canal end, which was not only full of parked cars but also because the canal was man-made. But I knew, before we came, that we had to be close to the river. When we got to the bridge over the Itchen, it made sense. I had already been told to bring a bottle of water, for an essence, so when prompted, I opened the bottle.
As I stood watching the river flowing towards me, the clouds and blue skies reflected in the water, the fish symbol flowed into my centre (behind my navel). I saw a hand popping a young fish into the bottle I held in my hands. The fish is the symbol of male fertility as it flows through the water and on a previous earth-working with the river, Chris, Eartha and I had anchored that energy to the river from the Brooks centre in Winchester.
So, with bottle in hand, infused with the male energy of the river, we followed the path to St. Catherine’s Hill. It was a lovely sunny day and as we walked, I could smell nettles, Angelica, and May blossom. My sense of smell seemed more sensitive than usual, making the walk so much more pleasant. We stopped briefly at the canal lock where the water was rushing through it like a waterfall, creating a mist of cool moist air, then we made our way up the steps to St. Catherine’s Hill.
Chris had the remnants of a cold so he stayed beside the river while I headed upward to the summit. It isn’t a mountain, but it felt like one! My thigh muscles burned and my hip complained mightily, but I knew this had to be done if I wanted to understand the significance of the hill to our ancestors. I need to walk up hills more often!
As I reached the innermost bank, I saw the creative energy in the center of the hill, in the form of a dragon. I heard myself call the dragon awake and watched as it emerged from the ground beneath where the remains of St. Catherine’s Church lay. As the dragon pulled itself from the earth, it shook the soil from its great wings, surfacing eventually and taking flight above the hill. Its colour was a combination of gold and red, making it look nearly orange. I haven’t seen one this colour before, two colours combined in this way. It was beautiful. Once again, I heard myself call the dragons to awaken, to take flight, to soar in the air. This felt like a resurrection of sorts.
I walked towards the top of the hill, and into the beech tree copse which now had new Spring leaves open, creating shifting patterns on the floor below. I had an impulse to pour some of the Itchen water in my bottle onto the rise in the centre, bringing the fertile river, energetically, to the hill, connecting them both. I was told to infuse the water in my bottle with the energies of the hill and so I tuned in and watched to see the energies move into the water. Now, along with the fertility of the water, it also contained the heart of St, Catherine’s Hill.
An energy band came from the left of me, then another one came from the east. The western one was masculine and the eastern one, female. They flowed into me and then rose in twin columns high into the air, through my head, where they coiled upwards together like a candy-cane. I waited until that was stable and wandered around the top of the hill, but saw no more. Until, walking out of the clearing, I heard a woman’s voice say: ‘Join with us, sister.’
I turned to look back into the trees, and saw a circle of young women holding hands, and dancing in an anticlockwise direction around the centre of the hill. They were dressed in while linen and all had a circlet of May flowers around their heads.
Inside their circle, dancing in a clockwise direction, were the young men. Circles within circles, sunwise and widdershins. The pair who had been chosen to hold the creative energies for the year, and who represented the male and female energies of creation, appeared in the centre of the dancing circles. They did not participate in the dance but appeared to be ‘holding’ the energies that the dancers were building.
When they had completed their dance, both groups of dancers moved in a line and took their place behind each of the pair, the girls in one line, the boys in another. Then they moved forwards, following their leader in a procession, separating once they had reached the outer limit of the hilltop. The girls moved east, and the boys west, still in a line, moving to the eastern and western bottom of the hill where they encircled the base of the hill and re-joined, taking the energy down to the flood-plain.
The rites were complete and they would spend the night feasting and celebrating.
Once I had witnessed this, I walked back towards the outer boundary, but glanced back towards the summit and saw a huge flame burning, the same colour as the dragon, red and gold. I heard the words: ‘the flame burns for another year’.
Reaching the inner bank of the hill, the dragon appeared again. It was only visible from the bank, for some reason, as I had not been aware of it while I was inside the trees. But now, it was large and alive, and I was told to open the essence bottle. This large dragon then popped a miniature version of itself into the water and once it was inside, I replaced the cap.
I returned to the river, where Chris was waiting, and we walked back the way we had come. When we were crossing the river again, I was instructed to pour some of this essence back into the water, completing the circle of fertility.
The most important aspect of this entire season’s learning, from February through to May was the marriage of water and earth. The Hill, the pregnant mound of the Mother, marries the water energies of the River to maintain the fertility of the land, so that food was assured for the coming season. In the past, the Itchen overflowed at certain of the years, bringing fertile silt from up-river. This reminds me of the Nile flooding, when rituals like this were also carried out at the Temple below the great pyramid. Many sacred Mother sites, to do with fertility, were connected to a river. Stonehenge, Stanton Drew, and of course, Winchester, etc.
The observance of these rites kept the energy flowing, each element dancing together. There was no sense of male energy, or female energy, being more important than the other, but a recognition of the necessary interplay between the two. To our detriment, we have lost this understanding but perhaps it is time we resurrected it, like the dragon.
Waiting to go to St, Catherine’s Hill for the Mayday conclusion to the male and female mystery teachings we had been shown on the Magdalene Down Barrows, instead, we get the call to go to Danebury Hillfort… again! I was told that I would be given a new symbol there and another essence.
The 360 degree view from the highest point in Danebury. This is where we see, clairvoyantly, the house where the Guardian lives. He is often standing in front of the door, either alone or with his wife.
Danebury is the active Mother site for Hampshire, connected to many other settlement sites around the county, including St. Catherine’s Hill in Winchester. We receive many gifts at Danebury Hillfort and are often ‘called’ to go there. As usual, it is best to go without expectations because what we received was not what we expected.
As we walked through the entrance and into the womb of the site, I felt the guardian walking behind me. This time, he was wearing a simple creamy-white ankle-length tunic. But as we walked to the highest point, beneath the huge beech tree, I became aware of the old woman. I was surprised to see her, as it is Spring, so I did not expect to see the Crone of Winter!
But, she explained to me as we approached her, that modern humans have a tendency to separate the seasons. We see Spring as separate to Summer; summer as separate to Winter; Winter as separate to Spring. But they saw it as a continuum, an interconnected cycle, each season growing into the next. There was nothing to separate them. She highlighted the Blackthorn and how it flowers in Spring, then the blossoms become fruit which are then harvested in early Winter (They had no autumn!).

When we got up to the top, I saw her patiently waiting inside her house, sitting beside the fire. She told me to take the bottle of water as she wanted me to make an essence. Into the bottle, she place a flame of her fire, to keep me warm in winter. Next, she put in a ladle of fruit-brew, made of leaves and berries she had collected since spring; food that had been picked and stored all year to prepare for the winter months. It represented the knowledge of how to prepare, how to save, how to source food from their locality. She placed some wheat into the bottle too; grown in Spring and harvested in late summer, again stored in pits for the long winter months. The essence was to be called: Winter Fruits.
Next, while the bottle was still open, she gave us each a gift. Mine was an arrowhead, on a thong made of deer-hide. Chris’s was a chalk loom-weight. Once she had given us these gifts, she then picked up an adder by the tail and dropped it into the bottle, then instructed me to close it, so the energy could not escape. I was also instructed not to release this essence until the right time, because it for the teachers.
It was then Chris’s turn to work. He was told to pour water on the ground, on a specific point, and when he saw the water go out in blue lines to other places. These lines also appeared as ribbons. Then he became aware of the Maypole and how lines of different colours, connected to different sites, radiated out into the landscape. The people dancing around the Maypole gathered the lines, like ribbons of energy, and wound them around it, thereby connecting themselves energetically to these other places. The coloured ribbons represented frequencies of light in and above the landscape.

Not a view the ancestors would recognise.
This is something I have anchored in other places too, but the first time that Chris has seen it. These ‘poles’ are static; they are not moved. The original meaning, and function, of the Maypole has been lost, but can be brought back if enough people learn how to work with them again. They are anchored at important sites, such as Danebury, Winchester, and Beacon Hill, and maintain the important energetic connections between sites.
When the Crone had finished her gifting, the Male Guardian appeared. He stood in front of me and drew a symbol of light with two colours, on my forehead. He said that this symbol was used in conjunction with the Shepherd’s Crook symbol, so it was a teacher’s symbol, for those ready to guide others through their initiatic gateways.
So, releasing expectations was the order of the day.
But we’ll still go to St. Catherine’s Hill, just in case…
After our first day’s information about the Female Mysteries of Spring, we went back the following week to learn about the Male Mysteries.
Magdalene Hill Burial Mounds.
This time we stood on the second largest barrow, where we had seen the Elder the previous week. As soon as we tuned in, he appeared and he instructed us to sit.
I felt as though I was in a class, as it would have been held centuries ago, but I was male. There were five or six of us being trained. The elder explained about our role in the Spring festival. We were a new cohort, and this was the start of our training. The Elder would instruct us on how to serve the Mother, both in what we did, as priests in training, and for the rest of our lives. What we were being shown was male priest training, rather than simply something for the festival rituals.
He explained that male fertility was connected to the waterways: the rivers and to the sea. I saw the Itchen river in my mind, running around he base of St. Catherine’s hill. As we were being shown the connection between the river and the hill, an image of Silbury Hill, near Avebury, with the water all around the base, popped into my head. I wondered if, in ancient times, the waters also rose at certain times of the year and flooded around the base of St. Catherine’s; the mound a pregnant belly that emerged from the waters of life.
Water carries fertility, like seminal fluid carries sperm. This is how they understood it. Because many female fertility sites were connected with waterways i.e., Stonehenge, Stanton Drew, etc., it fell to men to hold the energy of water-fertility. They were the active principle and the female was the receptive.
River-tumbled pebble
The Elder, having explained about the importance of water to these young men, then went on in a more serious tone. He handed each one a rounded, river pebble. He told them that the water had shaped these stones, tumbled and smoothed them over many years. The water had the power to shape the hardest material, BUT, the stone was of the earth and the river ran THROUGH the earth. The water, on its own, was simply water. The Mother, Earth, was the channel/river-bed through which the water ran, it ran through her body. She was the foundation of all.
This teaching was to curb feelings of power the young men might harbour, believing that because they held the power to fertilise, this meant they were more powerful than the earth itself.
At that point, to continue the lesson, the Elder told us all that we would now go to the other side of the hill, but to bring our stone with us. This was a couple of miles across the land for them, but necessitated a car-ride for us. From last week, we knew the men had their training by the river and that by the time of the Spring rites, they would proceed from there to the top of St. Catherine’s.
We drove around to the other side of Winchester, and tried to find a car-parking space close to the river. That proved tricky, as now everyone goes for coffee and a walk beside the canal! Because we could not find a space, we went to the water-meadows at. St Cross Hospital, where we had access to the river. This was better as it was the more natural part of the river; the part currently flowing alongside St. Catherine’s Hill is the navigation canal built in the late 17th Century.
We stood by the river bank and waited for the Elder to tell us what to do. We still held the stone. Because the Elder was not physically real, the stone he gave us wasn’t either. But, I had one in my pocket I had picked up somewhere. I’m always picking up stones! It didn’t have to be physical, of course, but it made it feel more real.
Itchen River, St. Cross Hospital, Winchester.
Standing by the river’s edge, the Elder told us that we had to throw this stone into the water. But, in throwing it in, we were handing over our ego, or sense of power and personal Will to the Mother. We were acknowledging that we, as men, served her. We were not master over her. In order to serve, we had to let go of all our attachments to power over others, over the tribe, over the land. We were making a commitment to serve her as she wished to be served.
It was a very solemn, and thought-provoking exercise. If we, as young priests were unable to let go of our male ego, our need for control, then we would be unable to serve in a fertility capacity and therefore would not be able to officiate at the Sacred Fertility Rituals, such as the Spring rites.
Because I was, effectively, a young man in this experience, I felt the seriousness of what I was doing and when I felt I was ready to give up my need for control and power, I threw my stone into the water, giving it back to the Mother, from whence it came. I accepted that she was more important than me and that I willingly sacrificed my need for power and control.
I was aware of the other young men in my group. Some were reluctant to let go, not fully understanding how it would impact on their lives. They were not ready. Some might never be and would go on to do other work within the tribes. But, for those, who were not quite ready, they would be given the chance to continue their training and repeat the exercise the following year. But that also meant, they could not be chosen to be a candidate in the current year’s Spring Festival. There was no judgement around this from the Elder, as they were only human and he understood the challenge of the sacrifice.
Spring Violets in the dew.
This experience, and the previous week’s one, was an amazing glimpse into how our ancestors worked with the very potent Spring fertility rites. The exercise, by the river and on the barrows, was quite a powerful one for the young men; the fear of letting go of personal power was palpable.
By contrast, the women’s rites felt free and joyful. There was such excitement and light-heartedness as they began the rites. But the men’s seemed quite serious, as if they had more to learn, more to let go of. But all were young. From late teens to early twenties. An appropriate age for Spring.
Next week, we’ll be up on St. Catherine’s Hill. It’s the culmination of the Spring festivities, the joining of the male and female energies, the festival that ensures fertility for the coming year. I am looking forward to seeing what we experience then. All we have to do is avoid the coffee-crowds.

Cone of Nature
As described in the post ‘The Cone of nature’, this essence helps you to maintain your connection with the many layers of nature within the cone. It pulls in energy from each of the layers, thereby feeding your physical body with the streams of energy from those levels.
The cone is a geometry with a specific function and in this case it operates like a holding container. Whatever layers of earth consciousness make up your cone are also the layers you help to keep the balance of. It also gives you access to working with the elemental consciousness of each layer, be it Solar, crystalline, water, etc.
A gift from an ancient Pine tree, which was planted in a church in Northam estate by Capability Lancelot Brown. To the trees he was ‘kin’, because he not only understood them as Beings but also worked with the Spirit of Place. He listened to the trees and planted accordingly. The essence is for those who wish to work with trees on a physical level: planting them, caring for them and/or working energetically with them. It helps you to listen to them and to see them as Beings in their own right. It also connects us to Pine trees all over the world and to connect one pine to other pines in other places. Pine trees are more conencted to the world around us, unlike deciduous trees that work on higher levels. Pines are aware of every little thing in the world around them and teach you to be sensitive to all around you. This is their gift.

The Raven’s Call
This essence was created at an Iron Age Hillfort in Dinton, Wiltshire. It was energised by an ancient Sweet Chestnut tree whose roots were anchored in centuries of history. The tree had many trunks emerging from one main trunk and as I watched the energies enter the bottle in the center of these arms, I saw the energy of raven settling in the water. I was told that the essence would help call the user of the essence to their Right Path. Through vision and knowing their feet would find the path they needed to be on, eliminating other unnecessary detours on the way. In the immortal words of Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven: ‘Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there’s still time to change the road you’re on.’ The Raven will appear in your life when the time for change is approaching.

The Wisdom of the Ancients
Made in the remains of a Burial chamber named Spinster’s Rock, in south west England. As I stood beneath the great rock, which was supported by three stones, a native of three Elder traditions appeared. A Native American, an African and a First nations man from Australia. These three elders imparted their wisdom in the form of sacred drawings which I saw being drawn on the sand with a stick and then being added to the essence, in a sacred dance.
Looking at the stories around the building of the dolmen, I can see that the three supporting stones have always represented three people, many stories being told about how they mysteriously erected the stones.
The essence allows you to access the spiritual beliefs of the ancestors, and to reclaim the knowledge of the sacred land and its ways. They understood it in a way we are only now relearning. Let them be your guides now along the songlines, the serpent paths and the joy of connection to land and sky.
I first began to make essences in 2006. At the time it came as a surprise and definitely a learning curve, but as you progress through the Gaia Method Earthways, you reach a point where you will be called to make essences as sacred sites yourself.
I have been making these essences for nearly twenty years and have built up quite a stock. They are used to access the ancestral wisdom of a site, or for healing issues that get in the way of your becoming your true self. They can raise your vibration, connect you to healing energies or to different elemental gifts, they can also be used to bring in the energies of ancient cultures and their ways of sacred living. Their uses are many and varied.
All the essences are made at sacred sites around the British Isles, Ireland, Iceland and Egypt and are infused by the knowledge, wisdom and healing of the Elemental Guardians of those places. They gift these energies to us in return for the service we give them in. There is a faery rule that nothing is given without there being something given in return. In helping the elementals of nature, we are given in return, their gifts of energy and insight.
I always carry a bottle of water with me because I never know when I am going to be invited to make an essence. At a sacred site, usually while doing energy-work, the site guardian will prompt me to take out the water and place it, either in my hands with the lid open, or on the ground or in the crook of a tree. Then I watch as the spirit of the place puts energies into the water. These can be their nature wisdom, dragon energies, solar fertility, or other energies that bring healing and knowledge. Sometimes too, portions of elemental energies also place their energy in the water and I have come to know these essences as a Genie in a Bottle.
I have built up quite a significant collection of these essences, which, like wine, grow in potency over time. Use them for personal use, or during healing sessions. They are particularly effective in sound healing. When you use them in a healing, such as Reiki, or meditation practice, they bring up issues around the energies of the essences. I am often prompted to use one, or two, during a healing or crystal reading session.
Spray yourself before going to a sacred site. I often dowse to see what energies I need or sometimes I hear the name of an essence pop into my head and I know I need that one.
There are a number of ways you can buy the essences. You can buy a 10ml spray bottle of stock essence, which is the most cost effective way and is also much cheaper in postage. Buying a couple at a time is even cheaper as you are only paying once for postage. If you buy them this way, you can buy your own bottles on Amazon and make the essences yourself. All you have to do is add a few drops from the stock bottle to another spray bottle and then add filtered or distilled water and some floral water, or even no scent at all. The stock bottles can last for quite some time so if you work with other people as a healer, and you want to give them an essence to help their healing process, you can do this easily.
If you want one bottle of essence already made up then they come in 30ml bottles, either glass, or plastic for travelling. As much as I did not want to use plastic, I could not find any bottles light enough to have in your pocket. But, they are recyclable. You can also reuse these bottles because I do not put the name of the essence on the bottle itself, so you can use it for any essence you want once it is empty.
Each spray bottle costs £10.99 each. (Postage within UK included)
It has been an interesting few months. The winter has been long and I really did not feel like going out much. Winter is never my time, energetically anyway, my time begins at Imbolc, the beginning of February. This is the time of female fertility, when plants emerge once more from the womb of winter and begin their growth towards the sun. This February, we explored a part of Winchester that has always beckoned but never quite seemed to be the right time. Because there are now so many people walking the places we usually frequent, we wanted to explore some place quieter. We found ourselves on Magdalene Hill Down and the five Bronze Age burial mounds there.
It took two days, a week apart, to receive this information, so I will focus for this entry, on the first visit to the burial mounds.
Magdalene Down Barrow Cemetery.
On the slope of the Down, there are five Bronze Age burial mounds. Three are still intact, albeit with dips in the centre. The other two are barely discernible. We stood on the first large one in the row and tuned in as usual. This brought me back to the past in a wonderful way. The story is a female story.
Moving into the past is like re-experiencing past events in a physical way. I become part of it. Standing on the barrow, I am in the distant past and I am aware of being a woman, wearing white. There is a huge sense of joy and celebration and I am calling to the clans from the settlements to the east of the barrows. Many women and girls hear the call and they come, joyously, dressed in white, to join me. There is much excitement and I am aware of how important these sites are for the women. They are not merely places to bury their dead, but sites of great significance, of birth, of renewal, of life.
They come from their settlements with a sense of urgency. This is the time they have been waiting for. It has to be now – today! They connect with each other on a telepathic level so they are all working together with one mind. There is no separation here. Together, all holding hands, while I remain on the mound, the women dance around the barrow. Collectively, we call in an energy, which I recognise as dragon-energy, but they identify as something else, a creative-force, a tangible thing, alive. To me, with my modern mind, it is the white-dragon, which is highly creative and inspirational and feminine. To them it is a living energy, the same energy but we each have our own ways, through time, of experiencing it.
St. Catherine’s Hill from the barrows.
When the women call in this beautiful, creative force, it rises from the barrow and travels along an energetic path to St. Catherine’s Hill. They watch it, holding its energy with their Will and hearts until it reaches the summit of the hill, where it then encircles the top.
The process they are initiating will culminate in May. There is a corridor of time and energy between the beginning of Feb and the beginning of May in which to do this work.
On the second barrow, there was a distinctly masculine energy. It comes in the form of an Elder, with grey hair and beard and he is dressed in a grey robe. This energy is about male fertility, symbolised by the fish. It feels hot here, and a spring flame, which I call Brigit’s flame, is burning.
(We didn’t get any more on the male energy rituals until the next time we visited.)
Next, we stand on the third barrow, which after the heat of the previous one, feels really cold. This one is female again. I can see the women who had joined in celebration but now they are creating a tunnel of Blackthorn boughs in blossom, holding them in an arched corridor above their heads. Each girl takes her turn, like a dance, going through the blossom arch and as they travel, the energy of the blossom permeates them so they become the same energy. It is a fertility dance and they are being imparted with the fertile energy of the Spring Blossom which makes them fertile too. It is an energetic process, not a simply ritual one. They absorb the fertile energy of the blossom into their bodies, by osmosis until they and the energy of the Blackthorn are One.
Individually, they dance through, until the ones at the beginning of the archway, are now at the end, until each has had her turn. When Mayday, in their calendar, arrives they will process to St. Catherine’s Hill to complete the ritual. Everything they do is in preparation for that day and it all takes time. They know how to wait for the processes of nature and nothing is rushed.
When May arrives, one woman is chosen to be the representative of the earth’s creative energies and one man is chosen to represent the fertility aspects of water and sun. Together, each holding their respective energy, they reign until the following year, when a new couple is chosen. The couple chosen do not know who they were going to be paired with until the day of choosing, and the two are chosen because they showed the right qualities of dedication and learning over the preceding year.
The newly crowned couple hold the energies for the surrounding areas for a year, enacting rituals that ensure the fertility of the area around the hill. They know their work will ensure the continuance of life for everyone and that the Mother and father will continue to care for them, providing them with food and shelter for another year.
This was a beautiful thing to witness. The Queen and King of the May are such an ancient tradition but it was interesting to see just how far this tradition went back. In modern times, the ritual is a re-enactment, but in times past it played an important role and was very real. The female group in the ritual were young women that appeared to be part of a group of women who trained to play this part. Only they were trained to hold the energy and to work with the necessary energies.
(The same applied to the young men, who had their own training, which we discovered when we returned the following week. But on this visit, we were shown the female aspect).
In May, they joined together, each representing, and holding, the masculine and feminine forces of creation.
This entire experience seemed to be a process through time, where the celebrations and calling happened first, followed by the blossom-archway and then the celebration on St. Catherine’s.
On the fourth barrow, we were given the same information about the Queen’s awakening. Between February and May, she awakened, life returned. This was her time. Perhaps this is also about the Queen’s representative awakening to her role. The fact that this all happened around St. Catherine’s Hill was also magical. Maybe we should reinstate it?
At the beginning of the Covid-time, I received the following:
“A great blindness overcame the tribes. From coast to coast and line to line, the way became unclear. Our holy men, usually so calm in the face of adversity, had lost their way, and as a result, so had we.
The Matriarchs of the individual communities insisted that we change our ways, that our having become lost was a result of our no longer listening to their wisdom. Even then, we refused to hear.
At every gathering, we brought together the Elders, hoping for answers, but they seemed as confused and lost as we were. They had no solutions, and still we did not listen to the Mothers who told us they knew the way. So, we faltered, our civilisation collapsing under the weight of unknowingness and our refusal to pay attention.
Today, we see the same dilemma occurring, and the same solution. What you are doing, we have done. What happened to us, will happen to you. And why? Because you are not listening either. You do not listen to those who know. You do not listen to those who have the answers. Why? Because you do not value those whose heart is in the earth. You do not pay heed to those who hear the heartbeat pulsing through the land; the Wise Women, the Wisdom Keepers.
If you wish to survive, you must seek them out; gain their wisdom and their knowing. They are your only hope. But do not give up when what you hear is not what you want to hear. No, that is not the time to give up, but to give in, to surrender your will, your resistance. Sit, listen, and the answers will be yours. Be not the proud fools, as we once were, we, your ancestors. Be the Wise Ones of tomorrow, the survivors, the custodians and guardians of the Mother, and live.
The time has come now to survive and thrive. Step over the threshold and become your true self. Set aside your fears, your doubts and lean on the Mother of all: Mother Earth. For she is your ally, the ground you walk upon, that which supports you. Learn to live within her limits and you will live well.
Take heed now, for this is the time of the Wise Women to take flight. Follow them into peace and be who you were destined to be.
This is our gift to you this day. Use it well. Put food on the table and love in your heart.
My first book is now available to buy on Amazon, in both Ebook/Kindle and Paperback. It has been a labour of love! But this is only the beginning. The next book which I am currently one third of the way through, follows on from this one and is a Dragon’s Story.

The books are a spiritual journey in themselves. They are works of fiction, but embedded in the stories are codes and keys of an energetic nature, designed to awaken those of you who have already decided, before you were born into this life, to awaken to your Soul path.
As you read the book, your Soul will recognise the symbols and energies, and seeds will germinate in your psyche, awakening you to your potential.
In the years to come, you may well find yourself walking the path of the Creators: the path of the healer, the artist, the writer, and guardian of the natural world.
During this time of great change, ALL are needed.
This book is a book of fiction, with comedic undertones, but it is also a book of healing, of light and of courage. Bill’s journey is our journey. The challenges he faces are what we face on our spiritual path; managing the emotional rollercoaster of healing and growth while moving onto the path which is truly ours.
How do we let go of old patterns of behaviour?
How can we learn to stand up for what we believe in?
And how do we find the strength to continue when everything around us is falling apart and we are forging a path that no one understands?
These are some of the challenges we face as we move into the uncharted waters of healing and change; challenges that Bill too must overcome if he is to become what he is destined to be.
Today is St. Brigit’s day, in the Christian tradition, or Imbolc in the Celtic. She was originally a pre-Celtic goddess, of fire, of healing and of fertility.
As the dark winter days brighten and lengthen, fresh shoots appear. Snowdrops give colour to muddy ground and sparse grass. Bluebell spears emerge from cold soil and energy grows. This is the time when the fertility of the land awakens. The sun’s energy is drawn, deep into the earth, to warm the sleeping seeds and bulbs, to fertilise the land itself with its life-giving rays.
The ancestors celebrated this process. Every few years, in settlements, such as at Danebury, in Hampshire, or Fosbury, in Wiltshire – embodiments of the Mother’s womb – , a priestess would stand on the highest point of the settlement, the belly of the Mother, and bring down, through her body, the solar energy, channelling it into the waiting womb of the earth. The Sheelagh Na Gig, the Crone of Winter, became youthful Virgin once more.
These ‘Mother’ sites were part of a vast network of energies, through which the fertilising light of the sun travelled, even before its physical warmth could be felt. Once the symbolic egg had been made fertile, this energy fed many smaller settlements, some as small as single farmsteads, but all radiating the light into the soil, into the trees, into the hearts and minds of the people.

The serpent will come from the hole On the brown Day of Bríde, Though there should be three feet of snow On the flat surface of the ground
One tradition on Brigit’s day was to clean the home, to sweep out the energy of the past and to welcome in the new energy that would bring newness and fertility to its inhabitants. It was all done with intent. The past year was gone, and a new one begins. Clear out old dreams; dream new ones.
This is the time when new pathways are forged and plans for the coming year can be put in motion.
There are many well-known traditions, and all accessible on the internet if you search. The most important aspect, in terms of energywork is the solar fertilising of the earth and the lighting/maintenance of the Flames.
As a planetary healer, part of your work is to maintain these energetic flames. Planting one in your home, if it is connected to this energetic grid, keeps the energy flowing. I have one in my home and have anchored them in the homes of my daughters and friends – other Gaia Method Earthways healers – when I am impulsed to do so. For two weeks before today, the energies rise and the flames are tended. Sometimes, they change colour, sometimes other energies are added. I can see them changing, in colour and number, sometimes becoming three, sometimes reverting to one. Each flame is a frequency of creation, a creative fire that inspires and keeps abundance flowing.
There are ‘Keepers of the Flame’ all over the world, carrying out these ancient tasks, and there have been for millennia. Now we are re-learning their ways so that the earth can be fruitful and abundant. We can change our old ways and learn how to live in communion with the Mother. Learn to channel the light into her pathways once more.
St. Catherine’s Hillfort, here in Winchester — the view from my house — has a flame. This year it has become a white flame, rising from the hilltop into the sky, spreading a disc of silver around the surrounding landscape; the abundance of the Mother. A necessary thing, in these times of fear and confusion. The White feels pure, and light, bringing awareness and a feeling of spiritual power. The power of Light, not might.
St. Catherine’s Hill, Winchester.
The more we work with the ancient energies and ways of life, the better will be both our lives and those of others around us.
In searching for fertility sites, look for the signs, both through intuition and physical evidence. Where the stone-carved Sheelagh na Gig’s are, nearby you will find a site, waiting to be reawakened. Early Christian churches often use them, as they signified a place where the energy of Imbolc was activated, albeit in a different form. There are places all over the British Isles, and Ireland, that hold these energies. All it needs is for you to find them.
“Now is the time to tend the fires. To create anew your dreams for the future. Go into the landscape. Connect to the Mother, Brigit, Goddess of life, and bring fertility and life back into your lives.”
For existing recipients of the Gaia Method energies only:
I have updated the first level manual, so if you would like a revised copy, please email me and I will send it on to you. It is a PDF but I can also send it as a word document if you prefer. Just remind me of your email address.
The manual contains added information and exercises on each of the symbol energies.
If you have received your attunement since January 1st then you already have the revised manual.
After some recent communication, I felt I needed to clarify the Gaia Method processes.
There are a couple of things that needed clarifying:
There are now two more people using the name The Gaia method. This is the name that my guides gave me for the system many years ago. However, with everything, names are picked up and used without people checking whether that name is already in use, or not. I discovered a woman who was now calling her therapy The Gaia Method and I communicated with her about the fact that I was already using this name and had trademarked it. She, however, thought that the Universe would decide which of us had the most right to use the name after she had googled me and found my name everywhere. Instead of reverting to the name she had been using, she continued using mine. However, a name is just a name, and although I had been building it for quite some time, I let it go. So, I have added Earthways to the name, to distinguish it from hers. So if you google The Gaia Method, you may well be directed to her site, and maybe that is what you need. Who knows? In the meantime, when my domain renewal comes up, I will add Earthways. Hopefully that will keep it clear.
On another note, more related to the Gaia Method Earthways training, I know that parts of the training can stand-alone, such as the initial attunement, but there are aspects that are very much part of the ongoing training and can only be done at a certain level of ability. Like any system of training, this is important, as it allows the student to slowly build their resistance to outside interference whilst carrying on the tasks of anchoring particular energies and templates of healing. For this reason, the training starts with certain aspects of healing and energy-field development. There is a sequence to the training, which I will soon offer via modules. Although not everyone works in the same way, some do ancestral work, others channel writing or art, or they work with trees/nature/animals, etc, the ability to channel, and hold, the earth energy is something that needs learning and developing. The more you practice and work with the energies, the greater your ability to work with larger areas on the planet that need realigning.
So, you can, if you choose, take the first attunement, as it can open you up to both the Earth and your own Divine Feminine identity, which is always good, or you can go as far as you feel like going. I will shortly add a longer developmental course for the first level, which you can take if you wish to go deeper into the Gaia Method Earthways program.
This month of May has seen a shift in our work in Earth Healing. Prior to this, the focus has been on accessing the Feminine Wisdom of ancient sites, but recently we have been able to access the Masculine Energy and information. This is exciting, as it heralds a whole new level of our understanding into the Male-centred fertility mysteries, as known by our ancestors in these lands.
Cowslips on the South Downs Way.
We have been given snippets before now, but over the past few weeks, since a walk along the South Downs Way, this fresh information has started to come through. While doing that walk, to get out of the house, we started at Chilcomb village/hamlet and followed our impulses. As we ambled along, taking photos, we walked through a very icy-feeling area and in front of us appeared a huge, Celtic-looking man. He was tall and broad and wearing only leggings tied around with leather thongs. His very muscular arms and chest were naked, but he had a leather band tied around his left upper arm. His skin was red with the cold, but he seemed not to notice.
We stopped walking to communicate with him, and he handed me a faceted Ruby egg. Next, he gave Chris a golden sickle, like the ones portrayed in druid images with mistletoe. We continued walking after receiving our gifts, unsure why we randomly received them along an ancient trackway until we came to the tumulus on the top of the rise. That explained the man! I was instructed to activate the burial-mound and then take a blue energy from it to two more barrows that I remembered working on fifteen years ago near Cheesefoot Head. The barrows were also on the ancient trackway and sit on a blue energy-line. The track seems to follow some of that line.
Crabapple tree inside Danebury Ring.
Since that day, all the energy-work we have done has been mainly done by Chris. His receiving the Golden Sickle was an initiation into the Male Sacred Mysteries. He has been learning the Feminine Mysteries for the past sixteen years and now it would seem he has reached a point where he can balance that learning with the Masculine Mysteries.
Last week we went to Danebury Hillfort and this week, we went to Itchen woods, where Chris received interesting information about the place. We are being instructed to revisit places we have worked on before. The following video is part of the information we received about the Itchen Woods Banjo enclosure.
The second part of audio:
When Chris mentions ‘Merlin’ he is referring to the collective energy of the Merlins, the male priests of the Old traditions, not to the fictional character who is an embodiment of the priesthood and masculine fertility energy.
Since receiving the second level of this system, back in 2008, I did not realise how long it took to get through it. My own process through this system, as taught by my guides (or ‘Upstairs’ as I like to call them) is very much the same as yours. And it has taken me nearly twenty years to reach the point where I can go through into the third level. The Second level, the Venus level, takes time because the lessons of Divine love, in the Ruby sphere, take time to learn. Raising your vibration from the need for personal love to the Divine love takes time and effort.
Originally, my guides told me there were three levels, or Three Gates, but until now, I had not gone through the third gate. At the Stargate on Salisbury Plain, myself and Chris had been allowed through the first two gates, but were not ready for the third. That was in 2008. Now, sixteen years later, we have finally gone through the third gate. The final level. This is how long it has taken us to give up our lower Wills to serve the Divine feminine.
The third and final gateway/level is that of the Divine Will of the Mother. The following channelling is how the Goddess explained the three gates, or levels, and what happens during your journey through them. Having thought I’d gone through my purging, I can’t say I am looking forward to more, BUT, I am also excited to see how this new level of development looks.
“Now is the time to allow the mysteries to awaken in the hearts of men and women everywhere. In fact it is imperative that it do so. Without this knowledge the sacred work of rebuilding the planetary balance, and synchronization necessary to maintain balance cannot be achieved.
There are indeed three levels to this system, the first level is the journey through the wilderness. This is the wilderness of your own fears, desires and thought streams. In this part of the process there is a need to discard all unnecessary encumbrances and free yourself from outmoded thoughts and desires. It takes as long as the candidate requires and there is no deadline for its accomplishment. It is, after all , a soul journey, not a personality journey.
The second level involves learning to work as a unit, as a team. The Serpent Goddess priesthood, such as the Artemis and Diana mystery schools maintained a balance of unity in the souls and minds of the people and this now is the next level of development. The first level is primarily a solitary one whereas this second level is the level of relationship and unification.
The third level requires that the candidate undergoes a trial by fire in which all aspects of the personality are finally purged. With the completion of this last and most profound initiatic level, self-determination is finally achieved, and unity with both the God and Goddess accomplished. It is perhaps the hardest of the levels to complete but it is also the most rewarding.
When these three levels are complete you are then a fully fledged and self-realised representative of the Goddess/God.”
This is the level of Mary, Mary Magdalene, Isis, and all the Goddess energies that come through the blue ray of the Divine Will of the Mother. This is also the Will to follow the call of your Soul, and Divine purpose, as it is presented to you. In doing this, you heal and release all that does not serve the Will of the Mother. The only way you can know what that is is through letting go. Life will present you with what you need to do. Your guidance, at this point, is strong. You have an idea of where you are going. Through the preceeding stages, you have honed your gifts, and most importantly, you trust the process, you have faith that you are going where you need to be going. The choices you have made were the right ones.
At this stage, having relinquished your own personality desires, and will, your ability to create and manifest becomes stronger. But what you create now comes through the filter of the Divine Mother’s Will. You KNOW that everything you want is what the Mother wants. It is not selfish need that motivates you, but rather what the Divine Mother WANTS you to create. What would serve her? And through her, humanity? The creations have a direct impact on the collective unconscious and therefore you need to be able to create what is needed, not what is personally wanted.
The keys and codes you receive at this level have that in mind, for they are directly connected to working within the sea of human consciousness. They manifest the desired thoughtforms, the needed energies. They also raise the vibration of all the energies you have already integrated, raising them to a new, lighter vibrational level, including that of the dragons. All the preceding work you have done has trained you to work within this sphere, the Blue Sphere, and you are ready, finally for the last stage of development.
All along the journey, you have had littler letting-gos. Challenges to your personal value system and attachments. You have learned to see through the lens of the Soul. This has not come easy, but in your heart, you know that it is right. For the world to know the Love of the Mother Goddess once more, you know that many things need to be relinquished and new things shared. Now is the time to reveal yourself, to open herself to the world. In the first level you wandered alone, in the second you joined another, or two, and now, in the third, you share; you open yourself to share everything you have learned so that others can follow the path of the Mother and find their sacred heart of Love and Divine Will.
There is no longer any resistance or fear for your future, because you trust your own Self. You KNOW that you have a job to do and you do it. You are your Divine Self on earth, and when you look back on your life, and all the trials and challenges it took to get there, you realise that it all has been worth it and you would not change a thing. You are still human, with human feelings and thoughts, but you know how to manage them and how to heal them, so they do not control your life or make you feel helpless and hopeless. You move through them, because you know that there is no other way.But this is just the beginning of this sphere of development and as you progress through it, learning and teaching, you add more wisdom and more learning to it, more energies and more abilities. And on it goes.
At this level too the the activations continue. All is a process of growth. Manifesting, working with the higher vibrational frequencies, that come with the third level upgrade, become available. You are the channel, the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom, and the frequency of healing love. You are still completely yourself, but you are more healed, more expanded and much wiser. All your personal desires are ‘quiet’ as you realise that it is the Mother’s Will which guides your actions and not your own. This applies to where you go, how you express your gifts, etc, but it does not mean that you lose yourself. You become more of yourself. What you create from this expanded self is far better than anything you could have created with your own desires alone.
The Blue Sphere Attunement. Third level.
Anchoring you deeper into the collective psyche of humanity and into Divine Will and Power. From here, everything you do is for the good of the whole, working with Angelic intelligence: the guides and healers of humanity’s future. You begin to manifest, on behalf of humanity, under their guidance.
Sacred sites have very humble beginnings, often as far back as the Mesolithic. From small henges to settled sites, hillforts, henges and stone circles, they all have one thing in common: they were created to bring fertility to the land so that those who lived on it, could thrive.
Banjo Enclosure.
In much the same way as current practices of prayer and ceremony create energy where they are held, the energies of ancient ritual would also have built over time, allowing the energy to grow steadily and to expand. The people who worked them chose sites that we now call Chakra sites; points where the energy of the Universe, the sun, moon and stars, could enter, and feed, the body of the Mother/Earth. These points are still intuitively found, and I imagine that the ancient peoples coming back into Britain after the Ice Age would have discovered these sites easily and known what they were.
Food would have been a primary concern and so working with the forces of creation: water, sun, light etc., would have been their main focus. They were moving from a hunter-gatherer nomadic culture to a settled, agricultural culture and bringing their knowledge with them. The landscape was very different then. The last vestiges of the ice had pulled back, the landscape regrown, and it must have been a very fertile time. But, as nomads, they must have needed to know where these sites were, earmarking them for future habitation. They would have returned to these sites, year after year, their connection to the forces of nature petitioned, just as we pray/manifest now. Although the predominant energy I have always picked up at these places has been one of gratitude. They honoured the land. They honoured what it gave them. They took nothing for granted. And it is this energy that is readily available at working and active sites.
Over time, the energies they built expanded into the surrounding landscape and were eventually joined to other sites. A uniting of the tribes. Then new cultures came in, adding their knowledge and life evolved.
Henges are circular banked enclosures with a focus on yearly celebrations and fertility rituals. These eventually evolved to become stone circles, often built on underground sources of water, or as a focus for solar rituals.
Hillforts.
Danebury Hillfort.
Hillforts, before they became fortified settlements, were large fertility sites and would have housed an entire village. Their focus too was on grain, both growing and storing. They were experienced as sites of the Great Mother, and until the horse people came from the Steppes, were places of abundance and safety. Nearly every hillfort we have visited had an earlier Bronze Age settlement site beneath it which was enlarged over time, so these sites were ancient, even to the people who lived there.
Often energetically connected to Hillforts are the smaller Banjo enclosures. These are small farms, but with a focus on energy and of ‘holding’ sacred energies. A small group of people worked these farms, either a family or a small tribal group. Some are quite large, but not as large as the bigger hillforts.
Burial mounds come in different sizes, and designs, but so far, we have found that every one of them is a place of ceremony and sacredness, often built on and marking a ‘point’ in the sacred landscape, such as a cross-over of energy lines kept alive by the rituals carried out there.
All of these places are places where you can contact both the energy of the people who created them, and where you can connect with the knowledge held in them. The information is held as a template, each one layered on top of another, like a stacks of CDs, and is layered over time, changing the atmosphere around them. The knowledge is both a historical record and a record of the energies they guard. These records are designed to re-balance and nurture the landscape, influencing future generations of people.
Everything of a sacred nature, buildings, stone circles, burials mounds, etc, has an energetic blueprint, a plan of its energies and intention. It starts out as a point in time and space and gradually evolves into a large site of power and connection. Much like Christian sacred sites grow from their humble wooden chapels to become great edifices of stone. The place begins as a thoughtform, created by those who hold it sacred, and eventually that energy becomes physicalised by successive generations as they follow the intuitive promptings of the previously anchored energies.
Some sites are destined to remain small, and unobtrusive, while others become huge, affecting whole areas of the landscape. But all are connected, and all are part of an overall Motherboard, ensuring the fertility of the land and the balance of nature.
At specific points of high energy in the cycle of the year, often marked by astrological observations, the sites were collectively energised, thereby reinforcing the original intention for the site: to ensure the people’s survival. The planet’s energy body needs to be kept flowing and healthy, and both sacred ceremony and intention, through collective imagining does that. A healthy energy body is a healthy body and the ancestors knew that well.
The earth was perceived to be a Mother, a giver of abundance and in those terms, each site had its own particular function in the landscape. Some sites were celebrated in Spring, when the sun energises the seeds and makes the Winter Goddess, young again.
Other sites, such as Uffington, celebrated the Mayday energies, a time for human fertility, ensuring a good harvest; ‘Mother’ sites, such as Fosbury Hillfort, the Itchen Banjo and Danebury, etc., hold the energies of the Fecund Mother, holding her human children in her sacred womb.
Other sites, Long Barrows, celebrate the ancestors and the journey into the void, the Crone. Returning to the void of creation. They are the burial place of the sacred families, whose bones anchor the energies of death and rebirth.
Every site has its function and celebrations, not one of empty ritual, but that of energy-work, renewing the land for the future stability of the tribes.
Other energy points were created and ‘held’ by a person who, in life, had been a wielder of Spiritual power. That power was in her bones, in her physical body, and it was this energy that was placed in sacred burial places or Barrow burials. As long as the barrow and its inhabitant were honoured the energy flowed. Barrows too were part of the overall blueprint, each barrow fulfilling its own function and guarded by the energy of the person buried inside it.
You can also see this belief in early Christianity as ‘relics’. The bones, or possessions of the ‘Saint’ still hold its original owner’s saintly energy. Every church or chapel had its own relics, even if, in later years, they were not actually the real saint’s bones, but people still believed in them.
Some sites were destined to be lived in, to be holders of sacred life, but others, such as stone circles, were designed to be places of power, ritual and creation. The circles were gateways, allowing energy to flow in or flow out, places considered to be the Divine Womb, where the sun fertilised the seeds of the Mother.
They had other uses too, of course, but in terms of energy work in the landscape, I am focusing on this purpose. Circles like Avebury were used as a clearer of local energies. They acted like giant demanifesters, clearing old energies and allowing them to be renewed. Energies, thoughtforms no longer valid, negative human emotions, are all pulled into the void to be transformed and birthed anew. A good place for ‘letting go’ if you tune into that aspect of the circle. It makes me think of giant snakes eating and destroying, with its body, the negative or outmoded creations of others.
Avebury started life in much the same way as other sacred circles: as a home, a simple wooden structure. Perhaps the person who inhabited the house created the initial energies which ultimately, over hundreds of years, became the Avebury Complex. This is how many of them began. The person creates the necessary thoughtforms, anchors the layers of energy over years, and the people who come after him or her, continue the creation of the anchored blueprint. Even today, this is how sites evolve. You only have to look at how Findhorn began, to get an idea of what I mean. Who knows what Findhorn will become in a few hundred years.
So you see how these massive complexes can have had very humble beginnings. A small family of people who have brought their sacred knowldege with them and who anchor the foundations of very important sites for generations of people into the future. Thousands of years later, and we are learning how to access this energy and renew the sacred work that our ancestors did. Bringing back the balance, anchoring the new seed ideas and changing our ways of life so that future generations can survive and thrive.
This is a very brief explanation, as there are probably books worth of information needed to explain all of this, but I hope it gives you a flavour of how sites began, so that when you tune into one, you carry this knowledge with you.
This is what my guides have to say about the nature of Elemental Dragon energy:
“The dragons exist as concepts designed to help humanity at this stage of their development. As concepts, they have existed in many forms, and in other stages of development, they have existed as other forms. Not all stages require the same conceptual imagery.
Because of the over-materialising of modern living, there is a great need to return to the natural world. The separation between Man and Earth is growing and there is a need for people to ‘come back to the Earth’. This is where the dragons come in. In order to ‘come back to the Earth’, new thoughtforms have to be created whereby people are impulsed to return to previously known energies, and ways of living.
Dragons are the energy of ‘thought-in-motion’. They act through channels of reality, and action. Working with the dragons in this way, keeps the energy grounded and real, otherwise they spiral into fantasy, where no work can be done, for although fantasy has its uses, it is often ungrounded and unrealistic..
Water Dragon.
“Dragons are the guardians of the underworld, both that of the Earth realm and that of the realm of human consciousness. When you awaken the sleeping dragon, you are initiating a course of action within the mind of humanity, which will change the thinking of everyone on the Earth plane. For this reason, only certain people are ‘qualified’ to work with the dragons, as they have built up, over many incarnations, the ability to work with the human mind. Their thinking is focused, and direct, and they are capable of deep contemplation, plumbing their own depths and that of humanity. The dragon represents all that is mighty and powerful within the forces of creation. In awakening this dragon you also awaken man’s ability to create heaven on earth. Only in using power with wisdom can true magic be affected.”
When I received this information, it made perfect sense to me. It is important to remain grounded, even when what we see, feel and experience sounds like fantasy to others. The dragon energies are symbolic of very real forces: emotional, mental, energetic, and even physical. They are what keep us alive and connected to the world around us. They are conceptual images of all aspects of nature and exist in a layer of consciousness that is more elemental than physical, influencing our thoughts and emotions so that we feel more connected to the natural world. All physical manifestation has its energetic counterpart and the dragons are part of that energetic counterpart.
Although they are the forces that work with us, closer to the physical world than other energies, They work through us, not separately from us. They join their energetic consciousnesses to ours so that we can work in partnership. Their body becomes our body, or at least a facet of it. We embody them when we are initiated into their sphere. Our energies merge to become one and yet we can still separate our thinking from theirs so that our human mind can do all it needs to do when living in the human world. But, when they need us to be in their energy they will make themselves known and then they show us what to do on their behalf.
Remember that what happens on a Dragon level, impacts us on a physical-reality level. This can be through our emotions, our creativity, our minds or our physical bodies. We are channelling dragon power through our physical bodies. Below, I will explain what I have learned, so far, about working with these energies. And if you are interested in learning how to work with the different dragon energies, click here.
The dragons that I, and many others, work with are primarily elemental energies. There are also crystalline dragon energies, which can be of any colour and crystal energy but when working with the forces of nature the dragons I speak of are the dragon energies you will be working with. There are other dragon energies in the many dimensions of earth, but these are from the elemental level, the level that works through nature’s energy.
As Gaia Method Earthways workers, we learn to channel and maintain the energy of the earth in partnership with the elemental dragon energies. We channel Solar energy into certain feminine energy sites, and also help maintain the flow of water energy in other sites, such as cathedrals, churches and stone circles. Humans have always created Sacred spaces, so that the fertility of the land is assured. Without this work, the land becomes empty and unproductive; a wasteland. When we work with these energies, we anchor thought-forms into the ether, where receptive minds pick them up. We do not know what the thoughtforms are, because we are channelling and directing these energies that come from our higher consciousness. We are often given aid from the spiritual guardians of sites in how we should carry out this work, so we are merely channels and witnesses.
Here are the dragons you will work with when working within Mother Gaia’s energy field:
Gold Dragons.
Lessons of Power. The ability to generate abundance that is free to all depends on the ability to balance power with desire. If one desires much and is given what they desire yet their power issues are out of balance, that abundance is then used for personal gain and does not benefit the whole. However, when abundance is achieved by one who balances power with desire, that abundance is then used to generate ‘more abundance’ for the common good and the betterment of humanity.
The Gold Dragon represents gold, money, and abundance. It is the power of wealth and the wisdom to use it wisely. This dragon is about using wealth for the betterment of all, not simply hoarding it or wanting it because you want luxury or comfort. In working with this dragon, wealth comes to you as you need it. It is not about becoming rich and having an easy life. Dragon-gold is given because you are working in service to humanity, using your money to continue your work. You are given what you need. This doesn’t mean you do not have a life of security. Your needs will be met because having a secure life means you are free to do your work without worrying about how to pay the bills.
There are lessons around money: how you save, how you spend, etc. If you misspend your wealth because you have not learned the wisdom to use it properly, then you will learn from that. All your beliefs, and illusions, around money will come up. However, even when you make mistakes, the dragon supports you, but you are expected to learn so you don’t waste those resources. They are your payment for the work you do. But you will learn to share it.
This dragon energy can take up residence where the wealth of nations, and of smaller communities, are centred, such as local authority offices, businesses, your place of work, etc. Anything that affects your life and the lives of others, is impacted by the gold dragon. He guards his gold for a good reason. Humans do not a great reputation for looking after the wealth of the world. But if you let him, he will teach you how.
Red Dragon Energies.
The Red Dragon helps you care for your physicality, and purpose. Where are you in the world? What are you doing? Are you pursuing your Soul path or are you trapped by the will of others?
This dragon is both your lifeblood and the lifeblood of the physical planet. It is what feeds you, on all levels. It teaches you how to take care of your physical existence through how you feel about what you are doing in life. If your life is unfulfilling, or you feel you are not where you are supposed to be, this dragon energy helps you to clear the way, showing you where you are stuck, or where you are flowing, if that is the case.
The red dragon is always flowing, always creating life. If it does not flow, it backs up, causing stagnation. That is its nature. It desires constant movement. Staying still does not work for it and if it does find itself stuck and unmoving, it can feel difficult to manage. Only when it is free to move again, can it continue its work of creation and revitalising.
Certain people are born with this red dragon energy and are the people who break up the stagnant thoughtforms of society.

“Only the strongest, the most resilient, can work with the black dragons. They are the dark, the mysterious, full of illusion and delusion. If you have not yet learned how to balance your thinking, how to question what you see, then you are not ready. Only those with the strongest, clearest minds and can see ‘multiple realities’ for what they are i.e. layers of symbolic meaning, designed to protect the very nature of the work, can work within these realms. These are the realms of humanity’s deepest recesses, their darkness, their passions and desires for riches, power and dominion. Only those who can keep their heart light steady, focussed on what is real, can join the ranks of the great Dragon healers. Healers of the dark side, the shadow side of human consciousness.“
This is a challenging dragon energy to work with and not everyone can work with them. They are the hidden depths of human emotion, those emotions that are seen as negative or chaotic but which are important. The black dragon is powerful. He sees the darkness in the world and knows that sometimes it takes darkness to heal. Life is not always love and light. Darkness exists too. If there was no darkness, you would not recognise the light. The world needs the dark. Sometimes it brings rest, time away from the world, so you can be in some dark emotion. Healing is not easy; most people want to avoid it, but if you are working with dragons, you cannot avoid it. In order to grow, you must heal our own darkness. The only way out, is through, as they say. Working with the dark dragon means learning that all is not what it seems. Dark things happen, yet when they do humanity is forced to deal with it; to change it; to grow through it. What we resist, will persist, until we look it squarely in the face.
You have to plumb the depths of your own consciousness, emotion and behaviour, learning to know the difference between your own issues and those of the issues you are working with. The tricky part is, because the energies you are working with often mirror your own unhealed issues, it can be difficult to tell them apart. But the black dragon energy wastes nothing, so you find that in healing that issue in yourself you are also healing it on behalf of humanity. This is also why you may find yourself in situations or places that are challenging to live in. Those places need your help and you are drawn to living there for both your own healing and the healing of others.
There are also many places where ‘negative’ energy remains as a result of past human behaviour, and you are called to clear them too. Because you understand this ahead of time, you can remain separate enough and not get too caught up in identifying with the negative behaviour which generated the energy in the first place. Understanding that every negative action provides a learning opportunity for humanity to learn to Love is what keeps you whole and centred.

Green Dragons.
TheGreen Dragons are the energy of vegetation and birth. They are very much associated with natural springs, which are the source of rivers and streams. When they are not residing over natural springs and young rivers, you will often find the Green Dragon wanting to be awakened in religious buildings where the energy has been capped by a male-centred priesthood. When they are freed, it is as if they are saying: ‘Do not forget us. We create the world of nature. Even in winter, when all is asleep, we keep the green of nature alive and fruitful.’ Life is not all about dogmatic religion. The Green Dragon flows, it wants to create new life, it wants to renew itself. But man is afraid of this creative power of the Feminine and so it seeks to prevent its power, especially in sites where it was once venerated. Religious Man does not recognise the balance between male and female sacred power, but this was not always the way. In the past, the sacredness of water was acknowledged as a manifestation of the feminine and used in sacred rituals. But over time it changed. Now, however, the Green dragons want to be acknowledged and we can bring that into reality by working with them.
The Green Dragon energy is a reminder not to forget the creative fertility of the Divine Feminine waters that emerge from the Mother’s body to feed us with new life.
Blue Dragons
The Blue Dragon is water, but water that comes from the sky as rain. Whereas the Green dragon emerges as springs from the earth, the blue dragon energies come from the skies. In a way, these two dragons work together, one from below and the other from above.
Historically, there have always been people who had the ability to work with rain. Cultures around the world have their rain dances, their rituals, their cleansings. Water has its elemental energies, just like every other physical element on earth. Therefore, it is something that can be worked with energetically. The Blue dragon is also creative, carving up the earth, nurturing its inhabitants, cleansing the collective energies of humanity when they fill the air with pain. It knows when it is needed, it has own rhythms and cycles. It is we who have lost touch.
The blue dragon can teach you how to cleanse and clear, how to nourish, and grow the world. It can teach you to use the energetic pathways of water and how to work with it, rather than against it. You learn what is needed, not what is wanted. What does nature require? What can you do to help? That is what you need to ask when working with the blue dragons.
Dragon Energies.
White Dragons are higher inspiration and creative ideas that need to be anchored in our 3-d dimensional reality. This inspiration can come through any form of art: music, writing, visual arts, drama, etc. The energies that come through with the White Dragon energies are very healing and are used to anchor higher artistic expression on the earth plane, for the healing and betterment of humanity.
The White Dragon energies are associated with sites with a high creative energy. They come in ‘from above’, like the Luck Dragon in the Never-Ending Story. They are also accessible through warm, coral reefs which hold an abundance of beauty and colour. Sometimes, the White dragon energy is a higher expression of the red and gold, more physical, dragon energies that we work with. When we succeed in a lesson about wealth, or have healed something important to our soul purpose, the Red or Gold dragon can become the higher ‘Light’ dragon and you are no longer as blocked in your work.
They also have a strong protective role, especially at places which make places safe for many people, especially when this place has a spiritual function. This protector role can also be embodied by highly creative people, who protect other people with their mission in the world. They might not be aware that they are doing that, but then again, they might know exactly what they are doing.
These dragon energies are symbolic of certain forces of nature. Working with them involves learning how to work with Nature, in both her positive and negative aspects. We don’t control these energies, just as we cannot really control nature, but our Soul knows how to read Nature and how to work with her forces.
The Gaia Method Earthways attunements are a first step in learning how to work with these forces wisely and through the energy of our connection to the Soul of the planet, Gaia. It is through our connection to her that we learn how to balance ourselves and the energies that feed us, allowing us continued existence on this, our schoolhouse planet.
I have been busy lately, having undergone some shifts relating to letting go of allowing myself to be controlled, or manipulated into doing what others want me to do.
As healers, we are particularly susceptible to this, but once we recognise how someone else’s needs may be holding us back, it is then up to us to allow it or to move on to more empowered living.
It can be painful and disorienting but ultimately freeing.
Controlling or manipulative behaviour stems from fear, and is not done on purpose. Recognising that helps us to stay out of a victim-place, knowing that, once we understand what we are experiencing we can then make choices about what course of action needs to be taken.
For me, it is about pulling back, finding my own centre again. Sometimes it feels like starting over, and that’s OK too. I immerse myself in creativity and find my new direction, which appears eventually.
I had an experience with dragon energy three weeks ago which I now understand was the start of this letting go. I was preparing to go to Carisbrooke Castle, on the Isle of Wight, to do energy work when I closed my eyes and saw a rainbow dragon swirling up around my legs. As it moved further up around my body it became a black dragon, and then further up still a white dragon. As it spiralled around me it was collecting energy the same colour as itself, so the black dragon was collecting black energy streams, and the rainbow dragon, different colours energy streams. When it reached above my head it spun itself, as if on a spindle and spiralled back to where the energies had originated.
I saw that they were other people’s energy: desires, Will, needs. I didn’t know what they were exactly, but I knew they were sent out from other people and were affecting me somehow. Later, I realised that it was through using an essence, one I made at St. Nectan’s Waterfall but never actually used, that this was happening in the first place. I never knew what this essence was for but through this experience I discovered that it clears other people’s energy commitments from your ‘field’, freeing you to follow your own path!
I am still going through this process, as it takes time and much clearing of emotion to continue a path you didn’t know you weren’t on anymore! But I am slowly feeling more centred again and more in control of my own destiny!
So, once again, I have learned a new way that dragon-energy works in our field. The fact that the dragons shifted colour as they moved up through my energy-field tells me about the energies I had inadvertently accepted; the thoughts or desires that I thought were mine but which were proving to be a blockage to my own path.
This must happen all the time, to everyone. We all affect each other, one way or the other, but sometimes it gets in the way and needs to be cleared. The people from whom we have accepted these energy streams become very obvious as we begin the process of clearing. It is in our everyday interactions with people that tell us what behaviours and feelings are connected to them. Once we have that information, then we can choose what we do with them. I usually withdraw gracefully and continue on my own path. Other people can fulfil their needs, it doesn’t have to be me.
So now I am back on track…or at least getting there and getting ready to continue the journey. I have only a vague idea of where this is leading me but it will be of my Soul’s choosing, not anyone else’s.
The white dragon comes in many ways and works in many creative ways. The white dragons I am speaking about here are creative muses, guiding our creativity.
When the first white dragon appeared to me it looked like the Luck Dragon from The Never-Ending Story, not the traditional idea of a white dragon. It was long-bodied and loving, smiling and wingless. But the image of this dragon, as the Luck Dragon, told me what it meant: it was a creator energy from the realms of imagination and brings inspiration and the joy of creativity.
The white dragons are an upper-dimensional energy, inspiring us to be creative, and bringing into our third dimensional world the creations which exist in higher dimensions of creation. These creations can come in through art, through writing, through music. Anything that effects other human beings and brings them energy through these mediums.
Before I moved to Sahl Hasheesh, by the Red Sea in Egypt, they began to appear out of the sea, giving me gifts while I stood on the sand. They had evolved from the Luck dragon image to white dragons with large wings. The traditional dragon. Or maybe it was me who had evolved… Either way, at that time, I connected with a book editor, a piano teacher and an art teacher. All who lived there too. The things I had wanted to develop for a long time were now accessible. I was inspired to write and make art everyday and I was the most creative I have ever been in my life. It was joyful, productive and fed me like nothing ever had. Everything creative that I wanted to do manifested there.
The coral seas around Sahl Hasheesh and Hurghada were a Womb of Creation with a gorgeous feminine energy that guided me daily. That is what the Divine feminine presence called it: The Womb of Creation. Once I had come back into a measure of balance, after a very tumultuous period living in Luxor, the dragon showed up there. Before she came, I healed my soul and my body by the sea, connecting to the peace, and healing, the Divine Feminine offered there. Then, when I was ready, it was time for my creative development.
My dragon guide, the White, was strong and because the Dragons are part of our own consciousness, she knew exactly what I needed. The dragons appear to be separate to us; we see them that way. But they are extensions of our own energy consciousness as it exists in the dragon dimension. When they appear, you know you are on a journey of creativity, where your creative dreams can take root.
There are places all over the world where your white dragon might guide you. When you are ready to release your active, creative self, your white dragon will appear. The creations that are yours to create, to bring into the world, come with them. They bring them to you, opening your mind to receive their words, their colours, their notes. The White Dragon, when it appears to you, is your Spiritual/Soul artistic guide, there to teach you how to create Divinely inspired works that help and inspire others.
All the dragon energies are connected to the Energy of the Earth consciousness; they are a way to bring into physical form, the energies which will trigger and teach others on the earth plane. Especially when that teaching is related to healing within the realms of Earth. Bringing their Dragon awareness to the minds of Humanity is their task.
Healing art, healing words, healing music, all are the domain of the White Dragon. She/he calls you to create. To bring inspiration and higher energies to the world, to fill that world with higher frequency creations which help to raise the consciousness of others. So allow her inspirations to guide your hand and heart.
So, if you find yourself anchoring, or having spiritual journeys with the White Dragons, you will know why. They ask you to hone your skills and make yourself the best you can be with your art, so that others can benefit from your Divine Dragon Inspiration. Bring their world into our world so that we learn to be co-creators with them. You are a dragon-human partnership.
These energies are very real, and tangible if you are sensitive to energy. They are not empty symbols, but powerful, creative, elemental energies.
The Orkney Wisdom path is a specific pathway of development within the Gaia Method and needs an entire book written about it. This is the story of how this came about and what is yet to come. We will organise workshops to Orkney yearly, as of 2021, to train those who resonate with this pathway.
A year and a half ago, I went to Orkney with Eartha Luck, and what an incredible place.
From the minute we set foot on the island, I felt myself being connected to it. As we drove around, exploring, we decided that Orkney should be named the Island of Rainbows, as there were so many of them.
Our first port of call, on a freezing wet November day, was the Stones of Stenness. The energy was palpable as we walked through the huge stones and into the centre of the circle. Having done some energy-work there, anchoring the rainbow rays to each of the stones, including the ones that were no longer there, we proceeded to the Ring of Brodgar, but the small road that bridged the two stone circles was an energetic gateway, which we first had to open.
The gateway itself was in the water, a few meters out, and once it was open we could continue to the larger circle. In opening the gateway we had also opened the connection beneath the work we had been doing in Southern England to this more northerly site. As the Guardian of the Gateway said: The Orkney Isles are now blessed with the Light of the South.’
We wandered around the large circle and were told to connect to Neptune’s Lair. So, a few days later we found ourselves at Birsay, fighting against the wind and the rain. It was a stormy week, but storms and giant waves are irresistible, and while we were there, trying to stay upright, Neptune appeared. I was told to ‘write the words that I was given’. But it was 18 months later before I understood what he meant.
We did a lot of work in Orkney, at both circles, and at Maes Howe; a beautiful, women’s wisdom sacred place. We were given many gifts and much information, including a very large, leather-bound book by the guardian energies of Brodgar.
This book of information began to come through in May last year and It is called: ‘The Shamanic Wisdom of the Orkney Isles.’
This is what they had to say about it:
Liken it to a rose, opening to accept the rays of the sun. Little by little the petals unfold, revealing the beauty within. That is Orkney, the Rose Soul of Britain.
The Shamanic wisdom of the Orkney Isles is a documentary-style book, containing elements of prose, fiction and exercises for people to absorb these energies, no matter where they are in the world.
The Orkney energies are part of the Gaia Method system but can be taught separately after the first Gaia method Attunement. The Gaia Method System is like a be-jewelled spider, sitting in the centre of the web. Lines of silk extend out from the centre, each one connected to the others, but all going in a different direction. All are connected but are separate paths of development. There are multiple paths available, depending on which path the student chooses.
That cleared up the confusion about how the Gaia Method had so many potential paths!
The first chapter then followed:
“Take a trip with us, back to the past; a past of life and of gaiety, of joy and travail, of death and of rebirth. Join us, around the circle of Time so that when you read these words you are transported back, back and back – to where our world began. Take the first step now, as we guide you along long-forgotten roads, through swamp and desert, dune and sand. Trip with us on the wild shores where people of the past still live, unseen by you, the forgotten people of Skara Brae.
Watch us, as we sit beside our fires, roasting our pigs, skinning our sheep and tanning their hides. Join us, as we celebrate the fire festivals, the marriages, the ceremonies of Light and Life. Sit with us while we watch the dawns rise through our circles of stones, as we watch our children grow and our animals thrive. Watch us as we watch you, floundering through lack of connection.
The fires burn brightly in our lives, and in our lands and so we come to you now, to offer our wisdom and our knowledge, so you can connect to our hearths and to our lives. Sit quietly as we gather our spirits together and blend them with yours.
Soften your eyes and move inwards, into your inner consciousness, your inner world. You are sitting beside a large central fire in a building made of stone and clods of soil. The only light is the warm light of the flames as they dance on the walls and ceiling of the sacred hut. The Elders are there too, seated around the fire. They are the Elder Women of the tribes, the Mothers. Today you join with them in celebration of life. See their faces, the fire-light glowing on their faces, their hands and their ivory and shell jewellery.
A low hum begins as the women begin to ‘sound’ the sacred notes of harmony and peace. You hear them as they blend and weave, growing softer, then louder, then softer again, until your own energy joins with the sounds. Like a sea current, it flows, moving ever onwards and through.
Outside, you can see, through the open doorway, the sun rising. You feel filled with the love that the Father has for the mother. Her heart-song fills you as you sway gently from side-to-side, your entire body filled with light and the joy of sacred union. The Father caresses the body of the Mother with his body of light until she is filled with his vitality and essence.
The humming stops and all is still, peaceful. The light has arisen. Feel the energies of this Union as it fills you with light. Feel yourself inspired, connected, enlivened. Stay with these feelings until you are ready to open your eyes.
You have begun the sacred journey of Divine Union and the Path of Rainbow light. We are all children in this world, the children of Mother Earth and Father Sun, and so we spend each morning absorbing their gifts so we may go out amongst the people and share it with them.
With gratitude in our hearts, that you have gifted us with your permission to become a participant in this sacred journey of re-connection, we bid you farewell.”
I have been struggling with heart palpitations over the last couple of weeks. My heart beats strongly enough to make me feel ‘rocked’. I asked upstairs what was causing it, and they said, apart from unconscious issues around Father, and having to ‘do as I am told’, it was also to do with the amount of salt I eat.
I asked my good friend Cheryl to ask as well, without telling her anything and she came back with the same answer, Salt! Plus another developmental issue that I won’t go into here.
So, having had this info, I realised that I now had the answer as to why so many people in Upper Egypt die of heart attack and stroke! They drop like flies. I have never seen anything like it. They eat a massive amount of salt and really bad quality oil from the government. I can’t even eat that oil as it gives me massive cramps!
And the salt issue? Well, Egyptians live off the stuff. They pile it into everything. The older generation of Egyptians, those now in their in 80’s and 90’s, didn’t have that problem. They are fresh butter and cheese, and didn’t have processed foods, like ‘stock cubes’ which are full of salt here.
So now I had my answer. I really should know better by now, not to ask questions like that, because invariably I get the answer and it is usually painful!
The exercise from my guides, which follows, speaks to the challenge of living a life that is in some way, difficult and which needs extra help from the Universal field of energy. Energy, which is there for the taking, giving us extra mileage and extra light, even in the darkest of times and places. If you need an extra kickstart then use this. It will change how you see your world and show you how to change it to one you want to live.
Sometimes the challenge of living a Soul Life, can take its toll on our personalities and bodies, so here is the exercise that will fill us with energy again, if done regularly. It is very simple, but I have been using it and it has helped me to recognise where ‘I’ feel stuck or powerless when my soul is directing my life. This is what my guides said about it:
“How valiantly the Soul struggles to survive, even though the body tires of its incessant demands. How weary is the heart that pulses its life throughout the physical system, and how unmet demands have weakened it. Try this:
A measure of Light, filtered through your consciousness; a particle of Light seeded in your heart, bringing renewed vigour, pulsing its life through and beyond.
Feel the light flowing through your veins, lighting up your physical cells and molecules, quickening them, expanding them, until all is light.
Then let that light expand all around you until your surroundings are filled with it.
See how much light is generated from one little spark?”
I read through this message quite a few times and realised that the answer to my heart issue was about far more than Salt! On some level I am not expressing my whole self, not allowing myself to be who I am, creatively and in my life. That is most women’s lot in this culture, and even in our own Western Culture. Feeling unfree to live freely. So, I will see how things change, after using this exercise, and let you know.
